Church! The time is near, He's coming soon - and with Him His reward to give us accordingly to our works! Remember we're saved by grace, BUT at the Judgement Seat of Christ, we'll be judged by our works where we will get rewarded for what we did for Him! Keep looking up!
What are the rewards or crowns that we will receive? First, remember, there are no crowns for salvation. Why? Because we can't earn it! He did ALL the work for us - it's a gift from God.
1. The Imperishable Crown – (1 Corinthians 9:24-25): This crown will be awarded to those who run this race faithfully, with discipline and endurance.
2. The Crown of Rejoicing – (1 Thessalonians 2:19): This will be given to those who worked on bringing others closer to Christ. It's also called "Soul-Winner's Crown".
3. The Crown of Righteousness – (2 Timothy 4:8): For all of those who were anxiously waiting to see the face of our Lord Jesus appearing in the clouds. We'll get this one for sure!! haha
4. The Crown of Life – (Revelation 2:10) This crown is for all believers who kept their faith when it was costly to do so - those who endure sufferings, and who bravely confront persecution for Jesus, even to the point of death.
5. The Crown of Glory – (1 Peter 5:4): This crown will be given to "Faithful shepherds of God's people" - pastors, teachers, ministry leaders, and more. It will be amazing to receive these crowns because it was something we did for our Savior - in HIS honor during the life He gave us!
But the truth is that they are ALL HIS, nothing belongs to us, and we will cast them all at His feet.
Revelation 4:9-11 "The twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will, they exist and were created.”
