The Parable of the 10 Virgins
⟫ How many groups of virgins? 2
⟫ What is the difference between them? The oil.
⟫ What's the oil? The Holy Spirit.
⟫ How do you get the Holy Spirit? When you believe in Jesus.
⟫ What happened to the rest? Their trust was placed elsewhere. Not all 10 virgins are Christians waiting for Jesus.
Is everyone that claims to be a Christian an actual Christian? The answer is no --
⟪only⟫ those who placed their faith in Jesus and who are sealed with the Holy Spirit
— when does this happen? When you believe in Jesus and the work of the cross.
What happened to the Apostles when the Holy Spirit came down? Flames of fire! -
We are the wick and the Holy Spirit is the oil that produces the fire.
As a lamp, we're dead and useless without His presence and light.
It's midnight NO! It's late in the hour, place your whole trust in Jesus, nowhere ELSE! -----------
