THE KEEPER OF PROMISES

The will of God for mankind is seen in three places; the Garden of Eden before the fall, the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, and in Heaven. Everything else has been affected by sin and the influence of mankind.

God is not the author of death, depression, and disease, he is the author of life. God is a good father who wants the best for his children. God is not the kind of father that abuses and tears down his children, he’s the kind of father that nurtures, builds up, and provides for his children.

In fact, because he is a provider he has made you great and precious promises so you would partake of his divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). Do you know those promises?

Prayer and meditation in those promises is the path to experiencing those promises in your life. We are transformed by the renewing of our minds. Promises are like seeds, you can plant them in your mind and heart and they will grow. Like the mustard seed, the smallest promise can become the largest fulfillment of God’s glory in your life.

SALVATION

Romans 10:13 For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved (Joel 2:32).

John 3:16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He gave up His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 3:21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

Romans 10:9 Because if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

1 John 5:13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Romans 5:8 But God shows and clearly proves His love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Samuel 22:3 My God, my Rock; in Him will I take refuge; my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my Stronghold and my Refuge, my Savior—You save me from violence.

Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise Him, my father's God, and I will exalt Him.

Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall exult in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my Light and my Salvation—whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?

PEACE

Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Isaiah 54:9 “To me this is like the days of Noah when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again. 10 Though the mountains be shaken and the hills are removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

2 Thessalonians 3:16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

PROVISION

Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

Matthew 6:31-33 Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

Deuteronomy 28:8 The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

HELP

Isaiah 41:13 For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Genesis 49:25 From the God of your father who helps you, And by the Almighty who blesses you With blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that lies beneath, Blessings of the breasts and of the womb.

Psalm 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoices; and with my song will I praise him.

Psalm 37:40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them because they trust in him.

Psalm 54:4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

Isaiah 50:7 Because the Lord GOD helps Me, I have not been disgraced; therefore I have set My face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.

HEALING

Deuteronomy 7:15 “And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Matthew 8:2 And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean." 3 Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

Psalm 103:1-5 Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagles.

Isaiah 53:4 Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging, we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.

Mark 16:17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover

James 5:14 Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; 15 and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.

NEW CREATION

Romans 3:24 All (believers) are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace, through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus.

Romans 6:11, Even so, consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, But alive to God in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and of death.

Romans 12:5 So we, numerous as we are, are one body in Christ and individually we are parts one of another.

1 Corinthians 1:2 To the church (assembly) of God which is in Corinth, to those consecrated and purified and made holy in Christ Jesus, [who are] selected and called to be saints (God’s people), together with all those who in any place call upon and give honor to the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours.

1 Corinthians 1:4 I thank my God at all times for you because of the grace of God which was bestowed on you in Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:30 But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, our Righteousness [thus making us upright and putting us in right standing with God], and our Consecration [making us pure and holy], and our Redemption.

2 Corinthians 1:21 But it is God Who confirms and makes us steadfast and establishes us with you in Christ, and has consecrated and anointed us.

2 Corinthians 2:14 But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere.

2 Corinthians 3:14 In fact, their minds were grown hard and calloused; for until this present day, when the Old Testament (the old covenant) is being read, that same veil still lies [on their hearts], not being lifted [to reveal] that in Christ it is made void and done away.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!

2 Corinthians 5:19 It was God in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but canceling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation.

Galatians 2:4 because of false brethren who had been secretly smuggled in; they had slipped in to spy on our liberty and the freedom which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might again bring us into bondage.

Galatians 2:16 Yet we know that a man is justified or reckoned righteous and in right standing with God not by works of the Law, but through faith and [absolute] reliance on and adherence to and trust in Jesus Christ. Even we have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law [for we cannot be justified by any observance of the ritual of the Law given by Moses], because by keeping legal rituals and by works no human being can ever be justified (declared righteous and put in right standing with God).

You are transformed by the renewing of your mind. God has made you great and precious promises so you would be a partaker of his divine nature. As you renew your mind you will prepare your heart to believe and receive His great and precious promises that conform you to the image of Christ. Use this list of promises to put on your "new man" identity in Christ.
