THE IDES OF MARCH

March 15, 44 BC, JULIUS CAESAR was assassinated by his friend Brutus and other members of the Roman Senate. Did you know that his appointed heir was his grandnephew OCTAVIAN that he adopted as his son? Years later Octavian was awarded the title CAESAR AGUSTUS of whom Luke 2:1 says, "And it came to pass in those days, that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed."
