The Helper

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. – John 14:26

Often in life, things happen without warning. A car is struck by an impaired driver, a child is hit by random gunfire, a business is shut down by a virus, a residential high-rise tower collapses in Florida. Generally, you have no way of foretelling what is ahead. However, the “Winds of Change” can bring good things, too. Maybe a hoped-for pregnancy, a new son-in-law, or an unanticipated promotion occurs. Regardless of how they are perceived, the changes are important and determine life’s direction.

Sometimes a major change creates a sense of insecurity; other times, a sense that everything is progressing beautifully. There are verses in Scripture to help relieve anxiety or to encourage your joy. Either way, the more you absorb God’s Word, the more the Holy Spirit will reveal to you and take you through the winds of change in your life. Isaiah 40:31is a beneficial verse to remember for whatever the future holds: “They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Things inside the government can happen without warning as well as we know from this past year and a half. It is important to pray for the nation’s leaders to find or deepen their faith in God. That way, regardless of what lies in their path, they can rely on the Lord to bring them through it, just as He has promised.
