THE CHURCH IS A HOSPITAL

16 And when the scribes and Pharisees saw Him eating with the tax collectors and sinners, they said to His disciples, “How is it that He eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”

17 When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

The church is a hospital for people who need a chief physician.

And it is getting worse by the year. We cannot be polite anymore, and say nice things without being judged. Simple comments are called improprieties because an insecure man is not willing to change.

We have come to a place of rationalizing the word of God.

When the apostles and prophets refer to the Law it was to Clarify truth. Now we say it is not that simple and we add to the word or take away from it to make it fit our own thoughts and needs. We all need to change and become more like Jesus. We need to let the past go, past hurts, past pains, and feelings all need to be surrendered to the Lord.

Or all we are is a people who worship a dead god.

Phil.3:13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
