The Christian Carol

In the Book The Christmas Carol

By Charles Dickens

Ghost of Christmas

PAST

PRESENT

FUTURE

I titled this the Christian Carol

Using the Old and New Testament

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

God never changes for man

We are supposed to change.

He gives us a new heart and the Holy Spirit to lead us, guide us, and teach us.

In Exd.24

Moses went up to the Lord and received the Law and was instructed to teach them to the children of Israel and he was there 40 days and nights

Then in chapters 25- 28 The offering and the description of the Tabernacle and the priestly garments

Chapter 29 talks about Aaron and his sons being consecrated to the Lord

Consecrate means to be set apart for the work of the Lord.

Now I want to give you a mental picture of the Tabernacle.

It was rectangular in shape and large.

It was divided into 3 parts

1. The Outer Court

2. The Holy Place

3. The Holiest Of Holly’s

The Outer Court is where the Children Of Israel could be.

It was the place of sacrifice and sins where forgiven

Then the Holy Place is where the Priest where aloud it had the golden lampstand and the table of Shewbread and the alter of Incense and if I had more time I would tell you what each one means.

Remember in the story in Luke when the Angel Gabriel appeared to Zachariah to tell him Elizabeth was going to have a son and he was to call his name John And Zachariah doubted and questioned. Gabriel made it so he could not speak till John was born. Zachariah was taking care of this part of the temple.

Some of you are wondering how this relates to you.

I’m getting there.

Now lastly there is the Holiest of Holies. Only the High Priest was allowed in there once a year to go into the presence of God. A thick heavy Vail separated the two places

When Jesus was crucified the veil ripped in two.

Heb 4:16 Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Aaron was the High Priest

And his sons were just regular priest

Now some Believers act like they are still in the outer court not living a set-apart life bringing their sacrifice for doing the same sin over and over.

Still, others act like the veil is still keeping them away from the Lord and all His blessings.

They know God but are like the disciples that followed Paul on his 3rd. missionary journey in Acts 19 and decided to cast out a demon and the demon-possessed said Jesus we know and Paul we know but who are you and the demons beat up the followers of Paul.

This is what not walking in the power of the Holy Spirit will do.

Jesus left no one comfortless. He has given all of us the Holy Spirit but are you baptized by the Holy Spirit.

And there is the believer who is empowered by the Holy Spirit demonstrating the power and fruit of the Spirit and baptized into His love. They know and live the word of God with power.

So I ask you which believer are you?

Do you lack wisdom and power? Do you lack the blessings of the Lord because you have unrepented sin?

Maybe you attend church and even know Jesus saved you but He is not Lord of your life. You’re lacking in power, wisdom, and understanding.

Or you have entered the Holiest of Holly’s

Where you stay in the presents of the Lord. So when you get up and your feet touch the ground in the morning, Satan says oh crap he or she is up.

Serving is something we do out of love for God but it won’t get anyone to heaven.

So I pray you all to examine your hearts and if you have unrepented sin in your life or you’re not walking in power repent and go to the Lord ask Him for help talk to someone if you need to.

We are in the last days

In the Parable of the 10 virgins, 5 were wise and 5 were foolish and when the bridegroom comes for the bride only the wise are taken .that had their lamps full of oil. Oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. Understand all where virgins that means they knew of God but only 5 knew Him by relationship

I love the words of Joshua to his family. He said Choose you this day whom you will serve but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!
