Is anything too hard for me? – Jeremiah 32:27
Through the Bible, God frequently asks rhetorical questions, like the one in today’s verse: “Is anything too hard for me?” He isn’t looking for an answer—but He is looking for you to believe the answer. Often quoted is Ephesians 3:20, where we are told He is able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think. Once again, He is looking for you not to just quote it, but to believe it.
What stands in the way? The Christian’s greatest nemesis is doubt. Doubt kills hope, trust, and faith. Words like omnipotent get “tossed around” when discussing the power of God. How deeply have you experienced His might across the past year in the midst of pain and turmoil? How much are you relying on His power today in the face of uncertainties in the nation? He is absolutely trustworthy! He has a plan; He is exposing darkness; He is growing people in faith through tribulation; He is expanding His kingdom.
When the nation and its citizens are experiencing things that are beyond the remedy of government, it is time for the Omnipotent God to intervene. Pray for His power to become more evident to the citizens of America. Then watch Him work. Say NO to doubting. Nothing is too hard for your Lord.
