Satan loves it when we start backbiting each other instead of working together. His goal is to distract us from the most important thing right now: encouraging one another, preaching the gospel, praying —and keep looking up!
🐍He will come in different ways, from the blatant accusations of scoffers, mocking us with the well-known question, 'Where is this 'coming' he promised?' laughing and mocking us relentlessly, to the seemingly innocent remarks of a brother or sister that subtly challenge our point of view, leading us into arguments.
👉🏼If only we could see in the spiritual realm all the roadblocks that he sets before us: temptation, doubt, fear, persecution, discouragement, frustration with one another, using our weaknesses to try to derail us from our calling. He will even use our loved ones—husbands, wives, daughters, sons, mothers, fathers, anyone—to launch the most hideous attacks on us!
👉🏼 LET'S NOT FALL FOR IT! Remember, it's not your loved one or your brother in Christ— it's the ENEMY! Refuse to let him sow seeds of anger and frustration in your heart. We must avoid falling into the trap of cooperating with his tactics. He'd rather have you do his work by getting frustrated with one another than facing you head-on! He's more assured of victory if we give in to that! That fight, that argument, will only distract you from your main goal. Don't give in!
👉🏼We have a purpose to fulfill in this world before He comes to deliver us. This purpose is different for each of us, but ultimately, it is to glorify God and advance His kingdom on earth. The enemy is aware of this and is relentlessly working to hinder the fulfillment of our calling.
💣Let's continue praying for Israel and the lost! Look how powerful prayer is.
During the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah, Assyria, besieged Jerusalem.
Hezekiah and the prophet Isaiah PRAYED to God for deliverance. God heard their prayers and sent an angel who struck down all the main leaders of the Assyrian army!

💫I love it! Look what the King of Assyria said to the people of Jerusalem, boasting and challenging them by questioning the power of their God to deliver them BEFORE they prayed.
📖"Do you not know what I and my fathers have done to all the peoples of other lands? Were the gods of the nations of those lands in any way able to deliver their lands out of my hand? Who was there among all the gods of those nations that my father’s utterly destroyed that could deliver his people from my hand, that your God should be able to deliver you from my hand? Now therefore, do not let Hezekiah deceive you or persuade you like this, and do not believe him; for no god of any nation or kingdom was able to deliver his people from my hand or the hand of my fathers. How much less will your God deliver you from my hand?’”
💣This was the King of Assyria's fate AFTER that prayer!!

👉🏼This highlights the power of prayer and God's faithfulness in protecting His people! It's twofold for the time we're living in: God will protect His Church from our enemies, especially the mockers and scoffers (UGH!!), and He will protect Israel during this time! What was the key here? PRAYER!!!

🔊You'd better believe that the enemy wants to distract us from praying if prayer is that powerful! He wants to divert our focus from encouraging one another and fulfilling our calling! Don't give in to his tactics! Keep your eyes on the prize—keep your eyes on Jesus! Let's continue pressing on toward the goal He has set before us and let's keep PRAYING and LOOKING UP!
