grace is greater intimacy than the law could provide. The old covenant of law brought many priests into the holy place ("the sanctuary"), but only one into the Holy of Holies ("the Holiest"). The new covenant of grace brings every believer into the Holy of Holies-daily!

Give me five minutes with a person’s checkbook and I will tell you where their heart is.

~Billy Graham~

There are people who fail to understand the importance of coming into God’s house to worship and hear the Word of God. The Lord is going to bless them with joy and spiritual prosperity. They are investing in eternity. They may not see all their spiritual dividends on this earth, but God is keeping track of all of them––everything they are doing for His kingdom––all of their time and resources they have invested. What counts in eternity is what we do for Jesus Christ––period. Raul Ries

Another superior aspect of grace is seen in the difference between a shadow and the substance that casts a shadow. Shadows supply various benefits, but they have critical limitations. Shadows can provide a visible outline of actual reality, but they cannot supply what is inherent to reality. Also, shadows can give an indication of an approaching person, but they cannot provide a relationship with that person. The old covenant of law is likened to a shadow: "For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come." The new covenant of grace (God's sufficient resources freely available in Christ) is the substance. "The substance is of Christ."

Bob Hoekstra

"Eternity belongs to God alone. We must die. We may not strive to live forever." —

Charles Spurgeon

When pastors refer to sin as “brokenness” … yea, red flag. Let’s call SIN - SIN.

the law pointed to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus (with His abounding grace) is the substance that the law foreshadows. "The substance is of Christ." Jesus is the one who brought "the good things to come."

Bob Hoekstra

...whatever you do, find the God-centered, Christ-exalting, Bible-saturated passion of your life, and find your way to say it and live it and die for it. And you will make a difference that lasts. You will not waste your life.

~John Piper~

The Christian life is to be Christ-centered, not self-centered. God desires that we would align ourselves with His perfect will––to bring honor and glory to His name. We always need to have a vision and passion for what God has called us to do. We cannot do any God-given task if we are not submitted and committed to Jesus Christ in our relationship with Him. What has God called you to do? Obey the call and fulfill your ministry.

Raul Ries

One of the greatest problems in our society is that we have raised a generation of guys, not a generation of men.

Burk Parsons

All the *evidence* of divine spiritual truth, and all the foundation of our real interest in the things whereof it is a declaration - as to benefit, advantage, and comfort - depend on their relation unto Christ.

John Owen

Short prayers are long enough.

Charles Spurgeon

Get alone with Jesus, and He will comfort your hearts, and restore your weary souls.

Charles Spurgeon

How beautiful is the Bible! It is a necessary food.

Charles Spurgeon

If Jesus preached the same message ministers preach today, He would have never been crucified.

Leonard Ravenhill

"God has come down to man that man may go up to God." -

Charles Spurgeon

Everything is so little to God, that if He does not care for the little, He cares for nothing.

Charles Spurgeon

Salvation is from God’s wrath, by God’s grace, through God’s Son, for God’s glory.

Steven Lawson

Preachers, your job is not to deliver sermons, but to deliver sinners.

Leonard Ravenhill

“Theological truth is useless unless it is obeyed.” ~

Elisabeth Elliot

“Faith in Christ is the only thing to save you from despair.” -

C.S. Lewis

"His merit, his power, his love, his grace surpass all knowledge, and consequently all estimate. Limits are not to be found, neither shore nor bottom are discoverable." -

Charles Spurgeon
