If you know people who are suffering or are in pain, you may want to pray for them in a new light. God loves them so much and He will do whatever it takes to bring them to Himself.

The mind is a great battlefield. The Bible tells us that we have the mind of Christ because we have a personal relationship with Him, but we still have to allow or choose to "let" the mind of Christ be in control. Every day we are at war for the control of the mind. Who wins that war is up to us and the choices that we make.

It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see.

Again, we have the opportunity to compare justifying grace and sanctifying grace, initial grace and ongoing grace. This is always an edifying and valuable exercise, since we tend to forget that we are sanctified through the same means that we are justified.

The heart of salvation is the Cross of Christ. Oswald Chambers

All heaven is interested in the cross of Christ, all hell terribly afraid of it, while men are the only beings who more or less ignore its meaning.

-Oswald Chambers

The church must stop expecting outsiders to act like insiders when insiders act like outsiders.

it will answer for me.

When you start to feel like you're becoming angry or argumentative about something, take a deep breath, yourself, and allow the Holy Spirit to calm you down. The Lord wants to do something amazing in your soul, so be in a place where you are seeking and focusing on Him.

Monday is always catch up day. But I can't wait till Sunday again.... First church then an evening of fellowship, food, and more....

The new covenant has three basic areas of blessings. First is the forgiveness of sins. "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more" ( Hebrews 8:12 ). Second is an intimate relationship with the Lord. "All shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them" ( Hebrews 8:11 ). Third is an internal work of God producing an increasingly godly life in and through us. "I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts" ( Hebrews 8:10 ). God further confirms that all of these grand blessings depend upon God's provision, not our performance. "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God" ( 2 Corinthians 3:5 ).

Bob Hoekstra

If you spend time with God, daily, your faith won't waiver!

“There is, therefore, something in humility which, strangely enough, exalts the heart.”—St. Augustine

…be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master,

prepared for every good work.

It is actually dangerous to be exposed to the gospel and not respond to it. The first time we hear the gospel, we enter into what could be called a spiritual danger zone because we are, from that point on, held accountable for what we know.

If a person chooses to believe, then God will strengthen him or her in that commitment. If someone chooses to harden his or her heart, then, in a sense, God will strengthen him or her in that as well. We make our choice, and then we reap the results of it. That is what happened with Pharaoh, that is what happened with Judas, and that is what can happen with us.

Compassion asks us to go where it hurts, to enter into the places of pain, to share in brokenness, fear, confusion, and anguish. Compassion challenges us to cry out with those in misery, to mourn with those who are lonely, to weep with those in tears. Compassion requires us to be weak with the weak, vulnerable with the vulnerable, and powerless with the powerless. Compassion means full immersion in the condition of being human.

By receiving His Spirit, recognizing and relying on Him, and obeying Him as He brings us the truth of His Word, life will become amazingly simple.

There is so much hurt, pain, brokenness, and Illness. If there was ever a time for the need of prayer it is now.

Don't be crippled by these things, rather understand that if our Lord was persecuted how much more shall we.

The Christian life is a paradox.

We die to ourselves to live. We give to receive. The first shall be last.

We can only be lifted up if we willingly step down. And we can’t do any of the first steps with the sole intention and motive of receiving the second part of the paradox. We are called to abandon ourselves to faith – but not to be stupid just for the sake of testing God and getting what we want

Reading good books about the Bible is not the same as reading the Bible. Always give priority to reading the Bible.

Deny any system that presents salvation as mostly grace but not all of grace.

The new covenant is far more than forgiveness of sins. As previously indicated, the Scriptures reveal that the new covenant has three basic areas of blessings. First is the forgiveness of sins. Second is an intimate relationship with the Lord. Third is an internal work of God producing an increasingly godly life in and through us. The word of God further confirms that all of these grand blessings depend upon God's provision, not our performance.

My hope, trust, and confidence are in Jesus. He alone is the "reconciliation of the world" and is "life from the dead."

Only in Christ living by faith, we can move forward.

Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength. ~

Corrie ten Boom

When Jesus commands His disciples not to worry about earthly things, such as food and clothing, that doesn’t mean he wants us to walk around starving and naked. It just means that instead of being distracted and preoccupied with material things, we need to focus on the things of God. Jesus is reminding us that God has promised to supply our material needs.

Dr. Charles Mayo of the Mayo Clinic said, “Worry affects circulation, the heart, the glands, the whole nervous system, and profoundly affects the heart. I have never known a man who died from overwork, but many who died from doubt.”

The Mayo Clinic actually estimates that more than 80 percent of their total caseload is directly related to worry on the part of their patients and noted that “52 percent of the people in the hospital could get up and leave if they could rid themselves of fear, worry, and frustration.”

Anyone who wishes to check on his true spiritual condition may do so by noting what his voluntary thoughts have been over the last hours or days ... The best way to control our thoughts is to offer the mind to God in complete surrender.

~A. W. Tozer

“He who obeys the command 'rejoice in the Lord,' has a hallelujah in his soul every minute of the day and night.” —

A. C. Dixon (1854-1925)

“God does not reveal His will to those who are curious. He reveals His will to those who are obedient. God guides those who are concerned about His glory.” ―

Warren W. Wiersbe,

Christian contentment is that sweet, inward, quiet, gracious frame of spirit, which freely submits to and delights in God’s wise and fatherly disposal in every condition.

~Jeremiah Burroughs~

There are people today who say they are trying to find themselves. Some will abandon their spouses and children because they want to go find themselves.

Jesus also said, “He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it” (Matthew 10:39 NKJV). Jesus was saying that if you want to find yourself, then lose yourself. If you want to find the purpose of life, meaning, and even personal happiness, then lose yourself.

We are more sure to arise out of our graves than out of our beds. -

Only at the cross of Christ does our inflated self-righteous view of ourselves shrink down to proper size.

The world’s idea of greatness is to rule, but Christian greatness consists in serving. -

JC Ryle

The fact God hasn’t wiped America off the face of the earth for its celebration of sodomy and love for the murder of the unborn is evidence of God being slow to anger and long-suffering.

No salvation without regeneration - no spiritual life without a new birth - no Heaven without a new heart.

J. C. Ryle

The Rapture is now imminent! It wasn't always. As we see the day approaching, the Lord is giving us more understanding as part of the increase in knowledge Daniel mentioned. The Rapture has always been an appointed time, set before the foundations of the world. Keep looking up!

The moment you admit to Jesus that you are in need of Him - the moment you put your faith and trust in Him, you're saved, justified by His blood, sealed until the day of redemption, and rapture ready!!!

Please, time is short!!

The time to come to Jesus is NOW!!

"If God did not mean to hear us, he would not bid us pray."

— Charles Spurgeon

"Go to him in prayer for all your family, beseeching that all the members of your ungodly family may yet participate in the blessings procured by the Lamb of God."

- Charles Spurgeon

I have learned this lesson: a person’s spiritual maturity is not truly visible until they DON’T get their way. Then you see the person.

Don’t just read your Bible, EAT your Bible. You should feel hungry if you’re away from it for too long.

The right attitude during a season of trial only comes when you have an eternal perspective.

— Dr. John MacArthur

Our initial encounter with the grace of God involved forgiveness and justification. "In Him we have our redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace" (Ephesians 1:7). Rich measures of God's grace washed away our sins and gave us new life in Christ. Of course, that initial justifying work of God could not exhaust His grace. Rather, it was "according to the riches of His grace." There are unlimited riches yet available for our daily sanctification, our ongoing growth in Christ.

Fellowship with Christians is for the sake

of fellowship with God.

~J. I. Packer~

Gratitude is a shortcut to happiness.

We are called to be fishers of men. Too many Christians spend their time talking, but never wet a hook. (I'm not recommending the use of explosives.) God has a remnant of people He wants to use to claim lives and territory for Jesus Christ. So as God's army, let me ask you: Are you going to talk, or are you going to fish?

Come, believer, and get all your need supplied; ask largely, and you will receive largely, for this "fullness" is inexhaustible and is treasured up where all the needy may reach it, even in Jesus, Immanuel--God with us.

The best part of all Christian work is that part which only

Satan will do everything he can to keep you out of God's Word. As you read the Bible and communicate with your heavenly Father, the Gospel continues to grow in your heart. And the enemy hates that! He is desperately trying to snatch away any seeds that are growing.

a person will always sacrifice for their god. What, or whom, will you sacrifice for? Will you sacrifice for success? Fame? Happiness? Relationships? Whatever, or whomever, you will sacrifice the most for is your god. Indeed, if you will not sacrifice for the LORD God, then He is not

your God at all.

Our choices can be our best friend or our worst enemy. They can deliver us to our goals or send us orbiting into a galaxy far, far away.

Your biggest challenge isn’t that you’ve intentionally been making bad choices. Heck, that would be easy to fix. Your biggest challenge is that you’ve been sleepwalking through your choices. Half the time, you’re not even aware you’re making them!

You’ve allowed yourself to make a choice without thinking. And as long as you’re making choices unconsciously, you can’t consciously choose to change that ineffective behavior and turn it into productive habits.

In everyone's life, there are advisers, admirers, and despise-ers....!

The ultimate wisdom is that you open the word of God and learn it...

The messenger does not write the message but declares it in truth.....

When you give your life to Jesus Christ you are not giving your life to the church but the Lord and God who saved you.........

Jesus is not to be admired or advised but He is to be followed and worshiped.....

We know that in everything God works for the good of those who love him. Please don’t interpret the presence of your disease as the absence of God’s love. I pray he heals you. And he will—ultimately! Till then— keep praying.

Sometimes, as followers of Jesus Christ, we need a second touch from Jesus. We sometimes lose sight of God's will in our lives. Maybe family or financial stresses steal our attention, or we get tired of "church" because someone offended us. Maybe a past failure has caused our vision to become blurry, or our pride is blinding us altogether. When you look to the Lord, do you see anything? Are His ways clear to you? Do you understand His purpose for your life, and see His guidance of your every step? Or do you only see the junk that's on nearly every magazine, billboard, DVD, and television show? Are you blinded by the materialism and pornography that causes you to stumble in your faith? Today, wherever you are and whatever you are experiencing, Jesus is willing to touch your life... maybe for the second (or third or fourth or fiftieth) time. You see, Jesus never gives up on you.

Many of the fishermen sacrificed and put up with all kinds of difficulties. Some lived near the water and bore the smell of dead fish every day. They received the ridicule of some who made fun of their fishermen’s clubs and the fact that they claimed to be fishermen yet never fished.

 Love is patient

Be completely humble and gentle; be

patient, bearing with one another in love.

—Ephesians 4:2 NIV

Although love is communicated in a

number of ways, our words often reflect

the condition of our heart.

It’s better to hold your

tongue than to say something you’ll

regret.

The only way to be filled with the Spirit is to empty myself of me. When I empty me of me, it provides space for the Holy Sprit to fill me.

Lust is selfish, love is selfless.

Lust is shortsighted, love works with eternity in view.

Lust is foolish, love is wise.

Lust rushes, love is patient.

Lust treats a person as an object to be used, love treats a person as a soul to be cherished.

Lust is lazy, love is diligent.

Lust is poison, love gives life.

Choose love over lust, choose life over death.

When the week was long and you have errands.. you stop for a healthy no carb dinner..

A man or woman who does not practice what he preaches

destroys what he builds. ~Bonaventura~

Among the mistakes Christians often make is saying that your relationship with God is all that matters and your relationship with other people just isn’t all that important. But that does not seem to be the Master’s plan.

Be just, but be kind and merciful. Show compassion because God is merciful and compassionate. Don’t oppress those who are weak or helpless, either by action or by failure to act.

It's too easy to grow lazy or complacent in how you 'chase' after your husband/wife. Being together for many years is a wonderful, God-designed thing! However, if we forget to actively pursue each others' hearts, time spent together isn't as joyful, edifying, or fun as it could be.

“There is no pit so deep, that God's love is not deeper still.”

~Corrie Ten Boom~

Prophecy is not given to make men prophets, but as a witness

to God when it is fulfilled. ~Issac Newton~

The Bible indicates that by the time the

future Great Tribulation begins, the economies of the

world will be cashless. This will allow the world

leader we commonly call the Antichrist to control

everyone’s ability to buy and sell.

There should, therefore, be a trend towards cashless

economies; and there is.

When you follow God’s instructions, you can live a morally beautiful and honorable life. Philippians 4:8 says, “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable if there is any excellence if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.’ And if those things are in your thoughts, they will be reflected in your life.

If Christians still retained a sin nature (even after re-birth), then we would continue to be bound to the same sins after salvation as we were previously. It is truly liberating to know that we don’t have to commit sins; we only choose to do so. Through the miracle of re-birth and regeneration we can change our thinking about the control sin has over us through the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2).

Make money your god, it will plague you like the devil.

~Henry Fielding~

C.S. Lewis, in The Screwtape Letters, described how hard our enemy, Satan, works. Written from the point of view of demons who regard God as the Enemy, he writes: [Senior devil Screwtape to junior devil Wormwood]: “There is nothing like suspense and anxiety for barricading a human’s mind against the Enemy. He [God] wants men to be concerned with what they do; our business is to keep them worrying about what will happen to them.”

“Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength.” —Corrie ten Boom

What does the Bible say!

God is the only true source for an unstoppable force in His people. It is His Spirit that makes you unstoppable. You need only look to the Apostle Paul to see Christ’s resource for unstoppability at work. He faced opposition on every side. He had every reason to give up. But he never quit, he kept pressing on. He had an unstoppable heart for God. He was aware of being gifted with God’s unstoppable mercy. He was empowered by the Spirit of the Lord. He had unstoppable humility and integrity. And he had an unstoppable desire to point people to Jesus Christ because his own faith was unstoppable.

The same Spirit that empowered the Apostle Paul to do great things for the Lord is within you if you have received Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life. What is keeping you from accessing it fully today?

The worst sin against stewardship is to waste your life.

~R.C. Sproul~

God truly marvels and appreciates the granular details in life. All things matter to God, even the tiniest things. This is why by faith we can do all things through Christ. We serve an omniscient and omnipresent God who can see all, do all, and is the beginning and the end of all.

God is left completely out

“He who obeys the command 'rejoice in the Lord,' has a hallelujah in his soul every minute of the day and night.” —A. C. Dixon (1854-1925)

Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.

~John Wesley~

Most of us have been in circumstances when we've sided with someone or a group of people only to find out later the issue wasn't as clear cut as we originally thought. So much so that if we had taken the time to hear the other side of the disagreement we may very well have changed our mind about who was right or at fault. Isn't that what we expect of our judicial system? Yet why don't we do the same thing in our own personal relationships?

The easiest way to make sure we remain faithful to give the Lord His tithe is to build our personal or family budget around 90% of our income instead of 100%. Setting aside God’s tithe first every month means our budgeting doesn’t include decisions about what is His. Tithing to God is a step of obedience in the Christian life. And like all steps of obedience, God will bless our faithfulness to Him.
