QUOTES

As we approach the new year, remember, your Salvation is born and continues to live and work in our lives!

Life is hard and it is also good. They mostly live together.

Your secret is no secret to God. Don’t try to hide it from Him; bring it to Him fully and transparently and let Him be your Rock and mainstay. God knows and He loves you!

God is more than willing to uphold and sustain you.

How exhausted are you today? Maybe you’re tired from too much hustle and bustle, too many gatherings and celebrations, and too little sleep. Or maybe you’re worn out from painful relationships, dissatisfaction, and discouragement. Whatever it is, rest in the Lord. He will strengthen you when you wait on Him!

Look for people who will encourage you in the things of the Lord. And be a person who will encourage others in the things of the Lord as well.

Look for friends who love the Lord. Look for people who will encourage you in your commitment to Christ. And if you’re presently engaged in a friendship, or even worse, in a romantic entanglement, that is dragging you down spiritually and is detrimental to your walk with God, then it’s time to sever it.

We must give serious consideration to the people we spend our free time with, the people we bare our hearts to. It’s important to look for others who love God and will encourage us spiritually.

True friends will say, “Because I love you, because I care about you, I must share this with you. I think you’re making a mistake. I don’t think you should do this.” Because your friends care about you, they will tell you the truth.

Oscar Wilde said, “A true friend always stabs you in the front.”

When you’re uncomfortable with someone, when you don’t know them that well, you don’t really want to say what you’re thinking. Maybe you just bought a new outfit that you’re not sure about. So, you say to your friend, “Hey, what do you think?”

One trait of friendship with people and with God is that true friends will tell each other the truth. That’s a mark of friendship.

Jim Elliot was a twentieth-century martyr who died in his endeavor to take the gospel to the Waorani tribe of Ecuador. Years earlier he wrote in his journal, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”

If we are going to live by grace, we must relate rightly to the God of all grace: namely, by walking in humble dependence. Continual, Spirit-led prayer is the basic way to express humility and faith to the Lord. How fitting it is, then, to consider God's invitation to pray at the throne of grace.

a classic illustration of Spirit-led praying. The basic request of this majestic prayer was to learn about, and walk in, the will of God. We "do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may have a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him." Now we look at other issues in this biblical example of Spirit-led praying.

Tested child of God, your daughter is sick, or your gold has melted in the fire, or you are sick of yourself. Your heart is sad. Christ counsels, “Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved” (Ps. 55:22). Spurgeon

We celebrated His birth; now we remember the cross and resurrection as the conviction in our hearts grows: “He must increase, but I must decrease”(John 3:30). Ray Bentley

It always amazes me how spot on and relevant the Bible is to situations in our lives.

There’s a popular cliché constantly shared with young people, “It’s okay to not be okay.” That’s a good starting place, but the Gospel goes further than that. It’s okay to not be okay, but it’s not okay to stay that way, when God has provided another way. Jesus is the way!

The Bible doesn’t use terms like “biological male”, “biological female”, or “non-binary”. Those are made-up terms. The Bible only recognizes terms like “male & female”, because that is what was originally designed by the Creator. All other terms are designed by confusion.

Any belief that says, “God loves you, so you can do whatever you feel like doing”; is a belief that’s contrary to the Bible.
