Our souls constantly demand to be fed, and make no mistake about it: if God does not have the proper place in your life, your soul will remain hungry. When I invite God into my days, I experience His satisfying presence no matter what I face.
Our response to temptation is an accurate barometer of our
love for God.

When you lead you must be open-minded enough to ask others what they see. Just because you can’t see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Robert Kiyosaki

Carl Gustav Jung
There is no winning without warfare; there is no opportunity

Rarely will you find a traffic jam along the extra mile.
Your parents have given you genes, but God gives you grace. God is willing to give you what your family didn’t.
The secret to living is a giving
Robert Kiyosaki
Think of something new you’ve actually learned in the past week; if you can’t think of anything, get comfortable where you’re at because you’re not going anywhere. To stop learning is to stop living.
God watches and weeds us, and continues His labor upon us, ‘til He brings us to the end of His promise.

Since we're going to see Him face to face some day (soon!), let me encourage you to get to know Him right now. Spend time in His Word, seeking wisdom and guidance from above, not from things of this earth.
Blessing for a home filled with laughter...a table full of wonderful food...a heart full of joy and gratitude of all you have been given.
It really is better to give than receive. In the kingdom of Christ we gain by giving, not taking.
Our souls long and hunger for God, because we were created by Him to have fellowship with Him. Without His great goodness, we would continue to hunger for Him, with no hope of redemption—nothing to end the longing.
It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits.
~George Washington~
Joyfulness is directly related to gratefulness; especially in marriage. This truth has transformed our relationship unlike any other truth.
When we're grateful, it puts all weight, honor, and glory on the giver: God. By being grateful, we express contentment in what God has provided, and trust that he's provided exactly what we need. That's truly profound!
"The way your house is decorated isn't going to change your life. Don't let comparisons steal your joy!" - Rachel Cruze
Death comes in many ways. Sometimes it is not a person at all but the loss of property or having to give up ones self existence as you always knew it. The only way to get past it and morn forward is to give it to the Lord every day. I feel so bad for the elderly who works all their life and then at the end of it have to give it all up for a room, the lack of family and people to just sit with them. I have come to love hearing there stories and being their friends. As I visit with mom I also visit with Larry, John, Andrew, and Charlie. These men have no family. Charles loves the Lord and guns, Andrew is a germaphobe but likes to talk. Larry is a retired CHP officer for Barstow and Fullerton and John is quiet but loves to talk when he is addressed. Please pray for them and all the elderly this holiday season.
Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer, and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
It is not our own righteousness which allows our fellowship with God nor our culture or background. There are no qualifications which could ever get us into heaven apart from the Blood of the Lamb. There is nothing which compares to the richness of knowing Christ Jesus. Everything in this life is temporary but our relationship with God is eternal.
Jack Hibbs
The Lord Is Coming, Don't Fall Asleep!
Only God knows when it's too late, but it is still our responsibility to offer testimony of God's forgiveness and mercy in our own lives. When the Spirit urges, do you speak of your faith or do you believe your words will fall on deaf ears, so why bother? No life is unredeemable or worthless. To whom do you need to speak regarding Jesus?
Time is short! Now is the time Today is the day...
In our manner of speech, our plans of living, our dealings with others, our conduct and walk in the church and out of it-all should be done as becomes the Gospel.
~Albert C. Barnes~
“We may ignore, but we can nowhere evade the presence of God. The world is crowded with Him. He walks everywhere incognito.”
—C.S. Lewis
Our calling to serve God requires strength that we do not have in and of ourselves. The Lord wants to teach us to draw upon His mighty power: "that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man" (Ephesians 3:16). Part of His plan is to settle our lives. "May the God of all grace… settle…you." This involves being increasingly grounded in God's ways: "that you, being rooted and grounded in love" (Ephesians 3:17).
You will never glory in God till first of all God has killed your glorying in yourself.
Charles Spurgeon
If you read the Bible, you’ll have answers for every question of our society — war, politics, abortion, gender, sexuality, racism, marriage, human rights…
Read the Bible!
"The greatest honor that can happen to you is to be a member of the household of God."
— Charles Spurgeon
The motto of all true servants of God must be, ‘We preach Christ; and him crucified.’
"Our hope must be cemented to the Word."
— Charles Spurgeon
The glory of Christ often comes into greater focus when we find ourselves in the darkest valleys.
This is the heart of sanctification: looking so intently at the glory of Christ that we are transformed into his image.
"God cannot do a great work through you without doing a great work in you first."
[Jesus] It’s the name that causes our hearts to rejoice and our lips to sing his praise.
~Warren W. Wiersbe~
Christmas is right around the corner, and for believers in Christ, our focus turns to Jesus and the celebration of His birth. God has placed the name of His Son in such a high, exalted position. Jesus is …the name above all other names.
There are two answers to every question: God's answer and everyone else's.
And everybody else is wrong.
The passive wrath of God is a frightening concept. When we decide to dishonor Him, not listen, and go our own way… He lets us do it and allows us to experience the consequences that come. Knowing Him and staying with Him is so worth it!
The same Gospel that changes your life should also change how you live.
We are given amazing privileges when we trust in Jesus. Recalling the promises of God is a good way to maintain a thankful heart, even when facing challenges.
If you feel hopeless in this season of your life, will you look back at those who had hope in Scripture to give you courage to have hope for your future? Hope, it heals our broken dreams.
If you lack knowledge, go to school. If you lack wisdom, get
on your knees! Knowledge is not wisdom. Wisdom is the
proper use of Knowledge.
~Vance Havner~
We’re limited by brain capacity, time, relationship overload, and responsibilities—you can only be at one soccer game at a time! But God? He has no limit to his time, power, knowledge, and love.
*Every day holds the possibility of a miracle.
In order for things to change you, you must be willing to change.
Quality of life, in America today, is often measured by the amount of money you make. Success is defined by the kind of car you drive. By the neighborhood you live in. By the toys you own. After all, he who dies with the most toys wins. True or false? Be careful to avoid the trap of, "the more you buy, the more you need." Because oftentimes then the more we think we need, the more unhappy we are with what we have. Count your blessings instead of your possessions. Spend more time with those you love, instead of spending more money on things you lack.
Success isn’t a pie with a limited number of pieces. The success of others has very little bearing on your own success. You and everyone you know can become successful without anyone suffering setbacks, harm, or downturns. Neither is your success measured by what others say or accomplish. Only you can truly define your success, and only you can measure it.
"The great thing about this God-given imagination is that you have the ability to play it right in advance and correct, without actually falling or failing.
It’s never the wrong time to do the right thing.
No matter the circumstances be thankful because there is always somebody worse off than you.
We believe nothing could be worse than our problems but set aside emotion and praise the Lord anyway.
If you are not seeking attention then stop being disruptive to the move of the Spirit.
What God is to one saint He is to all saints.
~William S. Plumer~
It is so important for us to be people in the Word of God. Rulers, nations, and all enemies of God want to break our bonds and tear apart the very fabric that holds us together--Jesus Christ. They desire to break off any relationship with heaven...and they want to take you down with them. They will distort everything you try to say. But let God's Word give you the words to say, and the wisdom that you give to others.
The wisdom of man is foolishness, but God's Word never returns void. Keep your words few and let the love of Jesus pour through your life. Yes, the enemies will still try to catch you, but you can count on the fact that Jesus Christ will bless you abundantly for your faithfulness to His Word.
When you talk to others, beginning right now, don’t try to impress them by talking about your accomplishments. Let your actions speak for you. Ask more questions.
It is not so much what the job gives you, it’s what you give to the job.
Give your best effort, because you are worth your best effort.
Pick up the phone to call someone you haven’t seen in a while. Thank them.
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
—John Fitzgerald Kennedy
Homeless people can be colorful but we are obligated to even help colorful, rude, nasty, angry. The word of God does not segregate them.
The job of a coach is to force you to do things you couldn’t (or wouldn't) do yourself. I did not train my coaches to be gentle; I trained them to make you winners.
Faith is a choice. It is! And Promised Land people risk the choice. When forced to stand at the crossroads of belief and unbelief, they choose belief. They place one determined step after the other on the pathway of faith. Seldom with a skip, usually with a limp. They make a conscious decision to step toward God, to lean into hope, to heed the call of heaven. They press into the promises of God.
Don’t miss this! Attention everyone. God keeps his word! God does what he says he will do!
If we want God to use us to build His kingdom, it has to be done according to His plans and purposes, not according to our good intentions.
God made us for Himself; that is the first and last thing

We must realize that God loves us and is always looking out for our eternal benefit, even if what we are presently going through is difficult.
Well-known journalist and television commentator Charles Krauthammer was asked if he was an atheist or an agnostic. He responded that being an atheist was not a possibility; the world’s complexity could only lead you to believe in the mystery of it all. But in his next statement, Krauthammer would not accept that the “mystery” was capitalized and spelled

We have a lot of half-hearted people filling the pews of churches today. They want to give the bare minimum to the One who gave everything for them. They have too much of the Lord to be happy in this world, but too much of this world to be happy in the Lord. They are in a miserable no-man’s land.
Spirituality begins to have real meaning in our lives as we begin to exhibit simultaneously the holiness of God and the love of God.
~Frances Schaeffer~
God intends for us to live passionately, strong in our convictions, and willing to be stretched in faith and in love.
The English writer Dorothy Sayers argued, “The only sin passion can commit is to be joyless.
The late President Ronald Reagan once said, “The source of our strength in the quest for human freedom is not material, but spiritual.”
Sometimes Christians mistakenly place themselves in harm's way hoping and praying the Lord will rescue them in a miraculous event. What would you think about someone who jumped off the roof of a building (rather than take the stairs down) with the expectation that if it was the Lord's will, he or she would land safely? It is the Lord's will that there be gravity; why would you want to test it?
Let the gospel story become your story, not just in the matter of your personal salvation, but also in the matter of how you live each day. If you’re married, the gospel should form your relationship as husband and wife, even as it should shape all of our relationships both in and outside of the body of Christ.
“We may ignore, but we can nowhere evade the presence of God. The world is crowded with Him. He walks everywhere incognito.” —C.S. Lewis
The Bible recognizes no faith that does not lead to obedience, nor does it recognize any obedience that does not spring from faith. The two are opposite sides of the same coin.
~A.W. Tozer~
we need to move from an intellectual understanding that God "can" heal to a belief that He "has", then act accordingly--get up and "try" to walk. We might just find out that we are healed.
Love for God is obedience; love for God is holiness. To love God and to love man is to be conformed to the image of Christ,
and this is salvation~C. H. Spurgeon~
Best way to plant a church? Reach lost people! Best way to revitalize a church? Reach lost people! Best way to impact a community? Reach lost people! Best way to grow a church? Reach lost people! Best way to mature a church? Equip people how to reach lost people!
God is the hero of the Bible, not us.
The Gospel isn’t about accepting Jesus into your life, it’s about Jesus taking over your life.
Christians, if believing that God is real, Jesus is the only way, Heaven & Hell exists, the Bible is authoritative, truth is absolute, marriage is defined by God, male & female is determined by God, & self-help can’t save you makes you outdated & narrow minded… Then, so be it.
No matter where you end up, never forget where you started.
The same Gospel that changes your life should also change how you live.
You’re not too lost for God to find. You’re not too dirty for God to clean. You’re not too broken for God to fix. You’re not too hurt for God to heal. You’re not too far for God to reach. You’re not too guilty for God to forgive. You’re not too sinful for God to save.
The first time Jesus came to earth, a few people in a town called Bethlehem knew about it. When Jesus comes back again every tribe, tongue, and nation will know about it.
No one is too sinful for God to save.
A GREAT FUTURE DOES NOT REQUIRE A GREAT PAST!
A PRIVATE LIFE IS A HAPPIER LIFE. STOP PUBLICIZING YOUR EVERY MOVE BEFORE CLOWNS SHOW UP AND TURN YOUR LIFE INTO A SOCIAL MEDIA CIRCUS!
DON'T BLOCK YOUR BLESSINGS TRYING TO DO PEOPLE HOW THEY DID YOU. YOU WALK TO TALL TO STOOP TO SUCH A LOW LEVEL.

What always stands in the way of glorifying God is us seeking glory from men. John MacArthur Our confidence in Christ does not make us lazy, negligent or careless, but, on the contrary, it awakens us, urges us on and makes us active in living righteous lives and doing good. There is no self-confidence to compare with this. Ulrich Zwingli
Expound the Law truly, and open the veil of Moses to condemn all flesh and prove all men sinners, and set at broach the mercy of our Lord Jesus, and let the wounded consciences drink of Him. William Tyndale We shall never be clothed with the righteousness of Christ except that we first know assuredly that we have no righteousness of our own. John Calvin Since Christ is our righteousness, our works are good only insofar as they are of Christ. Ulrich Zwingli

As long as Christ sits on the throne, every day is a good day. A.W. Tozer
The Christian life must be shaped by the theology of the cross, however much we might prefer an ever-present theology of glory. That means blessing through persecution, strength through weakness, and life through death. Kevin DeYoung
