You can’t be full of the Holy Spirit and full of yourself at the same time.
What we’ve learned so far through our journey of grief: 1. Faith in Jesus is everything. We know our son is with the Lord, and the Lord is with us. God is the one who sustains us. 2. God is big enough to handle our grief, anger and lack of understanding. 3. The church is essential. We couldn’t have made it through the darkest days without our Christian community. 4. Scripture and prayer is like a healing balm to a grieving soul. 5. You find out who your real friends are, because some people will step up when needed and some people will step out with their absence. 6. This world is not our home. Suffering and sadness is only temporary for the believer.
Often, when you feel like going to church the least is when you need it the most.
Talented people can build a crowd, but only the Holy Spirit can build a church.
There will be a day that Jesus comes back for His Church, and today makes it one day closer.
