QUOTES

The Gospel doesn’t promise us an easy life, it promises us eternal life.

By the Holy Spirit of God, we pass from death to life, no longer bound by this world and its constraints. We will not perish. Our sin, our pain, our misery, the heartaches and failures that torment and taunt us are now subject to a new order, to a new, eternal, life in the Kingdom of God. We can live in this Kingdom!

That’s what it means to be born again. Ray Bently

We must never mistake gaining a following with making disciples.

Dustin Benge

Close the day with thanksgiving and prayer. Review all the blessings of the day and thank God in detail for them. Nothing goes further to increase faith in God and in His Word than a calm review at the close of each day of what God has done for you that day.

R.A. Torrey

"DON'T LET A TEMPORARY BURDEN KEEP YOU FROM A PERMANENT BLESSING. YES, IT'S HEAVY, BUT IT CAN'T COMPARE WITH THE WEIGHT OF GLORY THAT'S COMING AFTER IT!

TO IMPROVE YOUR VISION, LOSE SIGHT OF YOUR DISTRACTIONS! REFOCUS!

"Don't RUIN a NEW Opportunity by REPEATING OLD Habits."

"YOUR ADVERSITY IS NOT A PUNISHMENT, IT'S PREPARATION FOR YOUR PROMOTION."

THE CONTENT OF CONVERSATION THAT PEOPLE ARE COMFORTABLE BRINGING TO YOU, SAYS A LOT ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER (OR LACK THEREOF).

DRINK LOTS OF WATER! IT WILL KEEP YOU IN THE BATHROOM INSTEAD OF IN EVERYBODY'S BUSINESS!

WHO CARES WHAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY ABOUT YOU? LET THEM TALK. THEIR WORDS ABOUT YOUR LIFE, CAN'T STOP GOD'S WORK IN YOUR LIFE!

MATURITY IS WHEN YOU FINALLY STOP BLAMING OTHERS FOR THE MESS YOU BROUGHT INTO YOUR OWN LIFE.

Each person who has received the Lord, who has the Holy Spirit operating within, has been gifted to expand, comfort, or minister to the kingdom of God on Earth. Know your gift or gifts. Use them. God has given you the power to do it.

Let the love of God be the compelling force in your life so that God's Word becomes a delight to your heart and your submission to His will becomes joyful.

Ray Bently

The firmest friendships have been formed in mutual adversity, as iron is most strongly united by the fiercest flame.

~C. C. Colton~

While things are going well, make it a practice to come before the Lord in prayer. Get to know the lover of your soul. Then in times of trouble, you will be familiar with seeking Him. Prize your relationship with God and pray for those who have not received Christ as their Savior

“Life isn’t an accumulation of abstractions such as love and truth, sin and salvation, atonement, and holiness; life is…names and fingerprints, street numbers and local weather, a lamb chop for supper and a flat tire in the rain. God reveals Himself to us not in a metaphysical formulation or a cosmic fireworks display but in the kind of stories we use to tell our children who they are and how to grow up as human beings…The story is the Gospel way.

Religious rituals are helpful only if they are done with an attitude of love and obedience to the Lord. Scripture often notes that sacrifices to God are incomplete and even offensive without a changed heart that loves and knows the Lord. More than anything, God wants your heart. Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind” (Matthew 22:37). He created you to find your greatest joy and fulfillment in loving Him. So thank God for His unconditional love today. Allow yourself to spend time falling in love with Him. But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one (Matthew 5:37).

One thing you can give and still keep is your word.

What Satan intended as the ultimate evil, God used for the ultimate good.

Trust God. He will get you through this. Will it be easy or quick? I hope so, but it seldom is. Yet, God will make good out of this mess. That’s His job.

The power of man can never reverse the sentence of God.

~Thomas V. Moore~

Some talk to much and others need to speak up! Just my thoughts

With integrity, “no” means NO, and “yes” means YES. Regardless of others’ responses.

The starting and finishing line of our race is the completed work of Jesus on the Cross of Calvary. We have already won the race. As a result, we have a place reserved in heaven, so let's not be confused regarding Paul's instruction. He's not talking about earning salvation, but what we do with the talents God has given us.

Maybe God is allowing you to go through a perfect storm. He hasn’t abandoned you. God is thinking about you, and He’s still there. Whatever storm you’re going through, keep your eyes on Him. And keep moving forward.

That thing you’re struggling with, that you’ve prayed about over and over and over again? God is using it to heal your heart.

Struggles and chaos. Sounds like a normal Monday, right? The profound truth is that God is with us in our struggles. He’s with us in the chaos. In fact, He may be using struggles and chaos to be even more palpably present to us!

Every faculty you have, your power of thinking or of moving your limbs from moment to moment, is given to you by God.

Maybe you’re experiencing a protective storm in your life today. God’s thoughts toward you come from a motive of love. He has a plan and a purpose for you.

When we’re experiencing success, we can be more vulnerable than when we’re facing failure because we can become prideful. Success can be as dangerous as failure—or sometimes even more dangerous.
