QUOTES

God is faithful. What He promises to do, He will do. BUT WE NEED TO DO OUR PART. SUBMIT AND RESIST.

We are works in progress. We are under construction. He isn’t finished yet. We only see the beginning, but God sees the end from the beginning. And one day it all will come into focus.

“The blacker the night around us grew, the brighter and truer and more beautiful burned the Word of God.”

― Corrie ten Boom, The Hiding Place

David Brainerd

Here, then, is our guidebook, our textbook - the Word of God. If I utter a syllable that is not justified by the Scriptures, don't believe me.

All over the world, God is opening doors of opportunity, making it possible for us to take the Gospel to millions who have never heard of Christ.

~Billy Graham~

The book of Acts is the only book without an “Amen,” because the work of the Holy Spirit continues today––through us––until Christ comes again. Only then will the book come to its full conclusion.

Morally, a Christian is called to holiness; dynamically, he is called to service.

~John Blanchard~

Have you thought of your life as separated into spiritual — going to church, reading your Bible, praying — and secular — working, playing, exercising, vacationing? What changes in your mind if you consider all of it spiritual activity?

I think if you had asked Jesus about His spiritual life, He would have looked at you very confused. My guess is He would have asked, What do you mean by My spiritual life? Do you mean My life? All of My life is spiritual.

I am walking toward a bright light and the nearer I get the brighter it is.

~D.L. Moody~

“Go to the front lines, at home or abroad, in the battles against hunger…human trafficking or genocide…you meet evangelical Christians…who truly live their faith.”

Giving a teen boy unfiltered internet access in his room or pocket is like filling his closet with porn magazines and saying, “Don’t look at them.” If that sounds extreme, you don’t understand how many young men become enslaved to porn in their own homes.

Are you ready for the rapture? If not, Get ready; Stay ready; Keep looking up.

Ready or not, Jesus is coming!

In every Christian’s heart, there is a cross and a throne, and the Christian is on the throne till he puts himself on the cross. If he refuses the cross he remains on the throne.

~A.W. Tozer~

There is no death of sin without the death of Christ.

~John Owen~

Living intentionally in God’s presence isn’t just something we do during religious observances and in our private lives. Yes, we walk before God when we gather with others for worship, when we work for justice when we spend time with our families and close friends. But, like the writer of Psalm 116, we have been saved by God so that we might live consciously in his presence and for his purposes every moment of every day. We are to walk before the Lord at home and at work, in church and on the soccer field, as we volunteer in soup kitchens, and as we labor in companies that make soup or markets that sell soup.

Awareness of God’s presence gives new and profound meaning to every part of life. It transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary.

Let's stop making excuses and start focusing on God's calling.

If you don't know the Bible well, you can be misled. But if you're conversant with the teaching of the Bible, when something false comes along, you'll know the difference between what is true and what isn't. Greg Laurie

“If you look at the world, you'll be distressed. If you look within, you'll be depressed. If you look at God you'll be at rest.”

I was serving in the children's ministry 3rd service and a lady picked up her daughter halfway through the service. She told the other teacher and me she was falling asleep in service. Tonight she went forward to receive Jesus. Knowing the words in the bible and knowing the author are worlds apart.

As the world is getting more perverse each day, may we each pass down a spiritual heritage to the next generation. May we teach them to be followers of Jesus in all they do? Invest your time and energy with your kids or grandkids; volunteer in your church to help young people. We so desperately need a world full of people to cry out as David did in the Psalms, "For You are my hope, O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth" (Psalm 71:5).

We often talk of love as believers and we even talk of doing God's word as it says in the bible but if we are not willing to let go of past, pain, and fear we will never experience the love that God has for you. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. God loves you so much let Him be Lord of your life and have abundant living.
