“in all the sufferings of death extreme He must not be spared one jot or tittle; yet deliberately, for our sakes, He espoused death that He might espouse us.” -

C.H. Spurgeon. Love’s Crowning Deed

Instead of a river, God often gives us a brook, which may be running today and dried up tomorrow. Why? To teach us not to rest in our blessings but in the Blesser Himself! ⏤ Arthur Pink

"O ye who are walking in the light, deal gently with your brethren whose bones are broken, for you may also suffer from the like downcasting. Lay yourselves out to comfort the Lord’s mourners." - Charles Spurgeon

God is in sovereign control of everything, including evangelism. 1. God Initiates: “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them” (Jn 6:44). 2. God Opens Hearts: “One who heard us was a woman named Lydia…The Lord opened her heart” (Acts 16:14). 3. God Saves: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God” (Eph 2:8-9). 4. God Ensures Success: “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth” (1 Cor 3:6).

"Lay yourself out as much as may be in you to bind up the broken-hearted and cheer the faint, and you will be blessed in the deed." - Charles Spurgeon

If you are worried or distressed about a problem, you haven't come to a real trust in God yet. The moment you place the whole situation in God's hands, worry will go; fear and anxiety will disappear. Rest in God. It is all in His hands. Chuck Smith "Incessant opposition or neglect from those we love may at last cause the spirit to yield, and when that takes place, life becomes bondage." - Charles Spurgeon

If God would not hearken to the prayer of his Son, when he said, “If it is possible, let this cup pass,” how will he hearken to the voice of Christ-rejecting sinners? Is it possible that the cup of wrath can pass from them? No. —Ralph Erskine, Works 3:214

America has always needed God. But at this time, it’s more apparent than ever. Culture is rapidly shifting—and it doesn’t appear to be in the right direction. We need to start praying like we never prayed before. One person said this: “If all the sleeping people will wake up if all the lukewarm people will fire up, if all the dishonest people will confess up, if all the disgruntled people will cheer up, if all the estranged people will make up, if all the gossipers will shut up, if all the true soldiers will stand up, and if all the church people will pray up, then we can have a revival.”

"Faith does not eliminate questions. But faith knows where to take them." — Elisabeth Elliot

When we lose our character in pursuit of knowledge, then we are much poorer in God's sight. We hold little value to our fellow man. Therefore, what we know is a lot less important than Who we know (speaking of the Lord). Do you know a lot about God, or do you really know Him?

God's law demands wholehearted obedience. "This day the LORD your God commands you to observe these statutes and judgments; therefore you shall be careful to observe them with all your heart and with all your soul" (Deuteronomy 26:16). When the Israelites heard this summary requirement of the law, they confidently promised that they would obey. "Today you have proclaimed the LORD to be your God, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments, and that you will obey His voice."

We grow as Christians in the same way. When we commit our lives to Christ, we begin to walk in the way of the Lord. And if we fall, we need to get up and keep trying.

Jesus understands our problems. And He will ultimately respond. He has a plan.

Do you recognize your anxiety? Jesus isn’t ignoring your problems, worries, or concerns! He’s with you and wants to help not just your situation, but also your internal state.

“Lighthouses don’t fire guns or ring bells to call attention to their light, they just shine.” —

Sherwood E. Wirt

When we get to the end of ourselves, we get to the beginning of God.

~Alan Redpath~

~Max on Life

The purpose of impossible dreams is to show the world that an incredible, unbelievable God still exists and that He works in the lives of people.

We can continue to argue about gun laws and mental health but the issue is SIN and the answer is JESUS.

Are you rich in knowledge because of your commitment to Christ in, scholarship, apologetics, and schooling, or have you been robbed by the demands of neutrality? - Greg Bahnsen
