In every Christian heart, there is a cross and a throne, and the Christian is on the throne till he puts himself on the cross; if he refuses the Cross, he remains on the throne. ~A.W. Tozer~
Are you in the middle of a famine? Is your Christianity dry, barren, and lifeless? Do you go to church and Bible study but still don't feel any different?
You need to eat, no not the food of this world, the word of God that is eternal.
There is no one insignificant in the purposes of God. ~Alistair Begg~
The Quaker Thomas Kelly wrote in his Testament of Devotion, “There is a way of ordering our mental lives on more than one level at once. On one level we can be thinking, discussing, seeing, calculating, and meeting all the demands of external affairs. But deep within, behind the scenes, at a more profound level, we may also be in prayer and adoration, song and worship, and a gentle receptiveness to divine breathings.”
We can be about our business, working, cleaning the house, running errands, tending to family, taking care of all the “external affairs” and still, we can be speaking to God, asking Him to bless the people around us, yielding decisions and actions to Him.
The Christian's place in heaven was assured before there was a single angel there to help in arranging his accommodation. ~John Blanchard~
"Christ said, 'Feed my sheep... Feed My Lambs.' Some preachers, however, put the food so high that neither lambs nor sheep can reach it. They seem to have read the text, 'Feed my giraffes.'"—Charles Spurgeon
The gospel is free and meets us right where we are. If you are not understanding it, It is too high and you need to change it up...
God never uses anyone greatly until He tests them deeply. ~A.W. Tozer~
Never could it be possible for any man to estimate what he owes to a godly mother.

Jedd Medefind and Erik Lokkesmoe’s book, The Revolutionary Communicator, stresses seeking connection as an important communication tool that Jesus modeled, as he engaged people “on their turf and in their terms” (The Revolutionary Communicator, 23).
In a digitally connected world, where our smartphone is our most precious device, perhaps physical proximity has become even more important. Communicating with our words and statuses alone cannot replace coming near to those we lead.
“In a media age, we assume that… effective communication must come from a position of power. In every age, the truth is… the best communication requires drawing near, whatever the cost.” (The Revolutionary Communicator, 22).
The heart which has no agenda but God’s is the heart at leisure from itself.
~Elisabeth Elliot~
Let's do what we can while we can because, on that final day, we will wish we would have done more. Greg Laurie
A man’s character is accurately measured by his reaction to life’s inequities.

You know that bumper sticker that says "Jesus is my copilot"? Tear that off your car. Don't let Him be your copilot; let Him be your pilot—just let Him drive! Deny yourself, take up your cross, and really start living.
“Some people plant in the spring and leave in the summer. If you’ve signed up for a season, see it through. You don’t have to stay forever, but at least stay until you see it through.” – Jim Rohn
Every sin has a way of affecting others around you.
God is the cause of all causes, the soul of all souls. ~Augustus H. Strong~
