"Optimism is a wish without warrant; Christian hope is a certainty, guaranteed by God himself. Optimism reflects ignorance as to whether good things will ever actually come. Christian hope expresses knowledge that every day of his life, and every moment beyond it, the believer can say with truth, on the basis of God's own commitment, that the best is yet to come." — J. I. Packer
"God's promises are like the stars; the darker the night, the brighter they shine."

Sin isn’t merely a matter of actions and deeds. It is something within the heart and mind that ultimately leads to action. Sin deceives us into believing that because we haven’t committed the actual act, we are okay.

Triumphant living is one of the characteristics that God wants to develop in us through the work of His grace. Even when we are in difficult situations, the Lord wants us to learn to walk in the victory that is available to us in Christ.
“Without The Spirit of God, we can do nothing. We are like ships without wind or chariots without steeds. Like branches without sap or coals without fire”
— C.H. Spurgeon
God can bear the full weight of our pain and give us strength and life when we feel only weakness and death. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28, NIV)

Too often Christians are more concerned with studying difficult doctrines, but indifferent about loving difficult people.
