Because of the resurrection, we have good reason to rely on God. We know that God is both trustworthy and powerful. Yes, we hope that God will deliver us from the perils we face in this world, even as God once delivered Paul (2 Corinthians 1:10-11). But we believe that, no matter what happens to us in this age, our lives belong forever to the Lord.
Paul taught in the synagogue but found many of the minds there to be hardened and unmoved by his arguments. Undeterred, Paul left them and began teaching in the lecture hall of Tyrannus. The same should hold true for us as well when we share the Gospel yet are met with resistance--sometimes we simply need to move on!
I charge you never to give up the old doctrine of the blood of Christ, the complete satisfaction which that atoning blood made for sin, and the impossibility of being saved except by that blood.
Let nothing tempt you to believe that it is enough to look only at the example of Christ, or only to receive the sacrament which Christ commanded to be received, for which many nowadays worship like an idol.

When movies are box office hits, audiences crave a sequel. When the president of the United States has a great four-year term, you can most assuredly expect him to run for a second. When dinner is delicious, you may ask for another helping. When people experience things they love, they always want a continuation of a good thing.
“For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God” (1 Corinthians 1:18).
Many Americans disregard the name of Christ, but don’t let that dissuade you from sharing about His resurrection and love.
Faith and hope are distinct yet related, both are byproducts of reading the word of God.
The cautious Christians should not condemn the more permissive ones, and those who feel free should not cause the weak to sin by pressuring them to do things that their conscience did not yet allow. If there was ever a chapter for the church today it is Romans 14.
Stop pointing the finger and support the weak!
A life of Christianity is a life of unity. We are one in the Spirit and One in the Lord.
The unity that exists between Christ and His disciples does not destroy the personality of either. In mind, in purpose, in character, they are one, but not in person. By partaking in the Spirit of God, and conforming to the law of God, man becomes a partaker of the divine nature.
People were in shock after the Space Shuttle Challenger exploded in 1986. Then-President Reagan consoled Americans with these words: "The crew of the space shuttle Challenger honored us by the manner in which they lived their lives. We will never forget them, nor the last time we saw them, this morning, as they prepared for their journey and waved goodbye and slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God."
We must never measure our spiritual capacity on the basis of our education or our intellect; our capacity in spiritual things is measured on the basis of the promises of God.
1888, the United States Supreme Court has stated that Marriage is “the most important relation in life” and “the foundation of the family and society, without which there would be neither civilization nor progress.”
We begin to see the tole of sin in America from 1965 on. Now the court says
“[O]ur laws and tradition afford constitutional protection to personal decisions relating to marriage, procreation, contraception, family relationships, and education. … Persons in a homosexual relationship may seek autonomy for these purposes, just as heterosexual persons do.”

For a marriage to be sustainable, Jesus needs to be at the center.
Ignorance is not bliss. The way to avoid denying the Lord and His work is to be a person of the Scriptures. In John 7, where Jesus says, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water" (verses 37 and 38). Today, let us be people who are saturated in the Word of God, and overflowing with the unmistakable, perfect love of Jesus.
