"God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." — John Piper
"When you understand that life is a test, you realize that nothing is insignificant in your life." — Rick Warren
We can easily underestimate the great value of getting to know the Lord Jesus Christ. Other matters from the world, or even within the church world, can gain our interest and allegiance.
"Trials are the soil in which faith flourishes." — T.B. Joshua
The Lord expects us to love our spouse the same way He loves us -- tenderly and with selfless understanding. We know that all of these principles clash with the world. Which will you obey -- the world or God's?
"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." ( John 17:3 ) This statement by the Lord Jesus begins in a very profound manner: "And this is eternal life." To complete such a statement requires comprehensive truth. If the statement had started with "this is included in eternal life," many non-comprehensive matters could be used to finish the statement.
the new covenant of grace is essentially about developing a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Our God desires to impart His grace into our lives through this acquaintanceship with His Son: "the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus." This phrase ("by Christ Jesus") points once again to the intimate relational aspect of living in Christ by grace.
"Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness." — Desmond Tutu
Take the time to REMEMBER where you were before you committed your life to the Lord. Remember what He has done for you, how He rescued you and provided for you.
The Christian life is about falling in love with Jesus because He first loved us. But in this distracting, busy world, it is easy to lose sight of that love. “Remember from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works” (Revelation 2:5).
Albert Camus once wrote, “Truth, like light, blinds. Falsehood, on the contrary, is a beautiful twilight that enhances every object.”
an honest seeker of the truth will discover what the apostle Paul said, we are complete in Jesus, and He is the head of all the powers, philosophies, and ideas floating around. He is the ultimate fulfillment of our search for the truth.
“Christ was a complete man.” —Augustine of Hippo
The consequences of our sins can be redemptive, as in the story of the Prodigal Son. When the son wanted to leave, the father did not put him under lock and key nor prevent him from ruining his life in a far country. He gave him his freedom, even if it led to a pig sty!
God’s wrath is to be respected, even feared, with a healthy, smart fear. But His love is even greater, always keeping the door open for a wayward child to find a way home.
Courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’s the willingness to face your fear. Confidence doesn’t mean we don’t have self-doubt; it means we push forward, take action, and do what we need to until we no longer doubt.
It’s time to shed the self-doubt and step confidently into your calling.
Being in pain doesn’t make you a bad Christian. It means you need comfort and healing.
God is active even if we can’t see His activity.
God loves us too much to answer our prayers at any other time than the right time and in any other way than the right way.
God is working on your behalf right now, even if you don’t see one single thing happening. He grows plants from seeds in the ground, babies from seeds in the womb, and does miracles in your life in secret places as well. Wait and have faith!
There are five important factors that make you you. To help you remember them, I created a simple acrostic: SHAPE.

You are the only person in the world with your unique, God-given SHAPE.
Satan recognizes that our power base is in our relationship with God. Thus, he will do everything he can to separate us from the Lord. The only thing the devil fears is the power of the risen Lord Jesus Christ. That’s why we must stand in God’s strength and not our own.
