We who follow Jesus dwell in a unique kingdom, the kingdom of God. "For our citizenship is in heaven.
It's all about love. Our love for Him and His love for us. When we look at Him and our lives, through the lens of love, our perspective changes. We know God is good and wants to provide what is best for us. (1 Peter 5:7: "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.")
God's word (which is "the word of His grace") is characterized by heavenly ability: "which is able…and is profitable for." By God's grace at work, the Scriptures take us into the wholeness that is ours in Christ, as well as fully equip us for service unto Christ.
There will be no universal peace till the Prince of peace appears.

There are so many power-hungry leaders seeking to gain more power through force. They do not care about the cost to human lives and the devastation that can be caused by even a nuclear encounter. May we continue to look to Jesus, when He judges the nations, and there will be no more war.
A relationship with God, a friendship with God, requires active obedience. It’s more than not doing bad things. It’s also doing good things, the things that are pleasing to Him.
When we are surprised, shaken, and afraid, but determined to follow the Lord wherever He takes us, may we sing with Mary: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me” (Luke 1:46-49, NIV).
Within the heart of each of us is a longing for something more, a season of new spiritual refreshing, a personal revival, if you please. God has His own recipe for revival in our hearts. He has written it down for all of us: “If My people will... then I will hear from Heaven.” And when this recipe is followed precisely and put into practice, it will result in a new spirit reanimating us and enabling us to soar into spiritual regions some of us may have never known.
This Christmas, accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. Give Him the gift that He wants––your heart, your soul, your life.
~Billy Graham~
Everything that happens is all by God’s divine appointment––according to God’s calendar and plan. We live our lives looking at calendars and making plans, especially at Christmas, but what about making plans for eternity?
Prayer is breathing in the very air of Heaven, and praise is breathing it out again.

Jonathan Edwards
He who once bore our sins, and carried our sorrows, is seated upon a throne of glory and exercises all power in heaven and on earth. - John Newton
Bear in mind there is no situation in life for which you cannot find some word of consolation in Scripture. If you are in affliction, if you are in adversity and trial, there is a promise for you. In joy and sorrow, in health and in sickness, in every condition of life.
D.L. Moody
