Many people want to be used by God but must live the crucified life. They cannot be torn between two opinions––serving their flesh or submitting to the Spirit. God says to us, “Son, Daughter––give me all of your heart; be a living sacrifice so I can use you for My glory.”
The gospel must be preached afresh and told in new ways to each generation since every generation has its own unique questions. The gospel must constantly be forwarded to a new address because the recipient is repeatedly changing his place of address.

What did Jesus do? He preached, taught, and healed. Preaching was for the nonbeliever, whereas teaching was for the believer. There are some ministries that place more emphasis on healing than the Word of God. People like emotionalism. They go home excited, but remain empty; they have nothing to sustain them during the week.

Every Sunday evening the people who lived nearby saw something beautiful happen. The church bell would ring, and worshippers would wend their way up the mountain. They would light their lamps and light up the church. On their way home, it was as if light poured out of the church into the world.
