Sometimes it seems like the darkest hour is right before the dawn. Here are 5 things we can learn from our Blessed Saviour on the cross.
I believe that a mighty resurgence of the Spirit's power among us will open again wells of hymnody long forgotten. For song can never bring the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit does invariably bring a song. —

If we never have headaches through rebuking our children, we shall have plenty of heartaches when they grow up.
The remembrance of former providences will minister to your soul a continual matter of praise and thanksgiving, which is the very employment of the angels in heaven, and the sweetest part of our lives on earth.
Putting our faith in Christ is not about trying harder; it means transferring our trust away from ourselves and resting in him
if there were a minute in which God left you, child of God, you might indeed be wretched; but since there is no such period, rejoice exceedingly in the daily presence of your heavenly Father, and endeavor to walk worthy of it.
"What a mighty sway faith has over a man, and how greatly it strengthens him. Faith was to the patriarch his authority for starting upon his strange journey, an authority which enabled him to defy alike the worldly wisdom which advices, and the worldly folly which scoffs."
If some of us were brutally honest, we would admit that we don’t really care that much about nonbelievers. But the gospel, by design, is meant to be shared, not hidden. And sometimes we end up hoarding the truth instead of sharing hope. Share the Gospel today!
multiple promises reveal God's plan and guarantee His purposes. These promises are actually being made from God, the Father, to His Messiah, the anointed King (who is God, the Son). The promises show that the Messiah would be the new covenant of grace for His people.

God has a new covenant of grace for His people, and it is all related to a person, the Lord Jesus Christ. He Himself is the embodiment of all that the new covenant promises. In the new covenant, the Lord promises righteousness. This righteousness is found in a Person. "'Behold, the days are coming,' says the LORD, 'That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; a King shall reign and prosper, and execute judgment and righteousness in the earth. In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely; now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS" (Jeremiah 23:5-6).

When you strip it of everything else, Pentecost stands for power and life. That's what came into the church when the Holy Spirit came down on the day of Pentecost.
~David Wilkerson~
I believe, the Church today is a Church without power. In some churches there is a focus on Holy Ghost meetings, creating a lot of emotionalism in the Church. God desires to move in the body of Christ through His Holy Ghost, but biblically. God is a God of order. As the Holy Spirit worked through Christ’s disciples in the early church, I believe He still wants to work that way today. He still wants to open the eyes of the blind and touch the deaf––so they can hear. He wants to heal the cripple––to make them walk. God can even raise someone from the dead. He is God!

We can never go to Jesus too often.
Charles Spurgeon
Never believe the tongue that says the preaching of Christ is a discouragement of holiness. —Ralph Erskine, Works 4:198
See the deplorable condition of wicked men. (1.) This power of God is not for them: (2.) It is against them.

All the answers are in the Scriptures, folks. You do not need to embrace and invite worldly philosophies, ideologies, and terms into your church.
DARRELL HARRISON
A trial is an instrument by which our Father in heaven makes Christians more holy. -

"Stop letting people who do so little for you control so much of your mind, feelings, and emotions." -
Will Smith
We cannot truly be in Christ and not be becoming more and more Holy as time goes on. Sanctification is a result of being Justified. Always. We are never saved and then left the same.
"O young man, can you take up in the warehouse the position of being a Christian though there is no other believer in the louse? Come, good woman, dare you to serve the Lord, though husband and children ridicule you?" -
Charles Spurgeon
“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen — not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” -
C.S. Lewis
Labor to possess the mind with the beauty and excellency of spiritual things, that so they may be presented lovely and desirable to the soul
John Owen
We can’t live out our calling without community. It’s impossible. We need each other.
“The terrible thing, the almost impossible thing, is to hand over your whole self — all your wishes and precautions — to Christ.” -
C.S. Lewis
"It is better to make a thousand failures than to be too cowardly to ever undertake anything." – Clovis G. Chappell
My soul longs to feel itself more of a pilgrim and stranger here below; that nothing may divert me from pressing through the lonely desert, till I arrive at my Father’s house. —
Jonathan Edwards
There is in the covenant of grace plentiful provision made, not only for the preventing of declensions and decays in believers but also for their continual carrying on towards perfection. John Owen
