Although the Scriptures do not command us to make promises to God, we who believe in the Lord have the liberty to make various kinds of promises. It is permissible to express our devotion to God through promises if they are dependent upon His character and capacities. "I will love You, O LORD, my strength" (Psalm 18:1). It is also acceptable to make godly confessions through promises that are based on His promises to us. "He Himself has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' So we may boldly say: 'The Lord is my helper; I will not fear" (Hebrews 13:5-6a). We are even allowed to make predictive promises concerning the details of our lives if they are subject to God's will. "If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that" (James 4:15). Still, the work of God in our lives hinges upon His promises to us. In fact, our God is characteristically a God of promises.

Don’t worry about a thing. Nothing. Instead, pray through everything. Ask, seek, knock. Talk to Him in a running conversation all day long. Thank God for all of His goodness. Tell Him what you need and want. Give up control and leave it in His hands. And, that trust that you exercise by living wholly leaning on God will leave you with supernatural peace, His peace. It will protect you from freaking out and getting sick with anxiety and depression. Jesus has the power so have faith in Him!
God is jealous of two things: our love and trust.

The day is coming when there shall be a congregation that shall never break up, and a Sabbath that shall never end, a song of praise that shall never cease, and an assembly that shall never be dispersed.

"What a simple, what a safe, what a suitable way God has prepared to bring you into communion with himself! You are to be the receiver, and he the giver; he the everlasting source of all your supplies, and you simply the partaker of his benefits." -

"My stories must illustrate. I must avoid trying to make myself look too good or too wise. The rule to follow: An illustration should illustrate the truth, not elevate the speaker." —

The right manner of growth is to grow less in one’s own eyes. -
Thomas Watson,
If I'm filled with myself, almost anything can irritate me. When I'm filled with Jesus, almost nothing can irritate me. Anger reveals the conflict inside you. (James 4:1) Kindness reveals peace inside you. (Prov.14:30)

If by “prophetic witness” we exclusively think in terms of calling out sin and exposing the powers, we are in danger of prophetic myopia that ensnares us into hypocrisy. The prophetic witness must also bring comfort, assurance, and a compelling vision to people without hope.
Abortion is the opposite of justice. It is the destruction of the helpless rather than their rescue.
The same power draws a sinner to God that drew Christ out of the grave to heaven.
There are only two parties in religious matters. There are only two camps. There are only two sides. Are we with Christ, and working in His cause? If not, we are against Him. -

Beware of manufacturing a God of your own: a God who is all mercy, but not just. Such a God is an idol of your own. -

If we're not strong in prayer, we're saying to God: "We can manage fine, thank you."
“Holiness is nothing but the implanting, writing, and realizing of the gospel in our souls.”
