“You must learn to translate wisdom and strong feelings into labor.”

What you think you know and what is true are two different things...

It does not matter how much you know if you are in bondage to lies...

Remember God's will and our will must be unified. His will is found in His word not the thoughts of man.....

The Holy Spirit loves order, and He, therefore, sets our powers and faculties in due rank and place, giving the highest room to those spiritual faculties which link us with the great King; let us not disturb the divine arrangement, but ask for the grace that we may keep under our body and bring it into subjection. We were not newly created to allow our passions to rule over us, but that we, as kings, may reign in Christ Jesus over the triple kingdom of spirit, soul, and body, to the glory of God the Father. - Charles Spurgeon

There's no place in our worship for criticism and talking down to each other. All of this is an indication of a backsliding life. Maybe it starts off small, such as criticizing the songs or the music; then it turns into criticizing the pastor's message; then it gets into criticizing the people. And before long, people are picking apart the Bible and eventually the Lord, blaming Him for "everything wrong in my life.

Life is a marathon – not a fifty-yard dash.

The primary purpose of Satan's blinding activities is to keep those in darkness from seeing God's light: "Lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them."

C. H. Spurgeon said, "Nobody ever outgrows Scripture. The Book widens and deepens with our years."

When the light of the gospel of grace is proclaimed, it is shining upon spiritually darkened hearts. "Although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened" (Romans 1:21). When darkened hearts respond to that light, they are given new life. "

God knows what awaits you and me, and He allows the trials and temptations to refine and purify us. Why? Because God knows our hearts. The treasures, the gold and silver, the garments, and the women are all things that can tempt us, but God wants us to choose Him and His call for our lives, not the world. Temptation is not sin; it is the call to battle. ~Frederick P. Wood~

When we gather with God’s people and study God’s Word together, we will see the big picture. We will realize that sin eventually catches up with everyone. And as followers of Jesus Christ, we will know that we’ve made the right choice.

The enemy has come at us to separate us from God with lies from the beginning of time. The number one way we can combat his lies is by knowing the Word of God and not letting him confuse us when he bends it! Craig Groeschel

Everything God does is good. Believe this with your heart, and hold on to this truth for unfailing strength in times of sorrow.

Grief tends to drive us to ask God the hard questions “Why?” and “God, are You good?” It’s ok. God can handle your questions. Just don’t stay there! Trust the Lord through your grief. He’s with you and He loves you.

“The New Testament does not say, ‘You shall know the rules and be bound by them,’ but, ‘You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.’” –John Baillie

“Abundance flows into your life when gratitude flows out of your heart.” —Jon Gordon

“Clarity leads to focused action.” —Jon Gordon

"Our Lord has not promised us a life without difficulties, but He has promised us the strength to overcome them." — C.S. Lewis

The enemy of men's souls wants to keep perishing people in spiritual blindness. "But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe." (2 Corinthians 4:3-4a).

Many people miss out on the opportunity to become involved in Kingdom work simply because they make family relationships their number one priority. Throughout their lives, when called into some aspect of ministry, they find a reason to postpone. At the beginning of their relationship, they say, "We can't participate now because we're getting married. After we're settled, then we'll really be ready to serve the Lord!" However, a few years later, when asked to participate the response is, "We want to serve, but we have to get the baby out of diapers first." Then it's, "We can't take him (or her) out of school, soccer practice, or piano lessons." The delays and excuses go on and on. So what happens? More often than not, those who place too much emphasis on the family, find problems within the family, because they didn't follow the direction and calling God had placed upon their lives along the way.
