The Word of the Almighty God is sure and every prophetic declaration in the Scriptures has or will reach its ultimate fulfillment in Christ. This is one of 300+ prophecies fulfilled by Jesus. The next one is He's coming to take His Church! It's time to believe in Jesus!
Today we have a 20/20 vision regarding Jesus. We can look back and see clearly what took place. His birth, burial, resurrection, ancestry, nature, ministry, and ascension - are ALL fulfilled prophecies - so we can trust God confidently!
This is only one of the many prophecies regarding His birth.
"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel." (Is 7:14)
This was given by God to the prophet Isaiah 700+ before Christ was born. God sent a message of hope to Israel despite their persistent unbelief and blasphemous idolatry -- just like today!. "The Lord Himself would give them a sign" – and that was the arrival of His Savior - the Messiah of Israel - and descendent of King David. He would save His people from their sins. What an amazing proclamation was made on that day. Their Savior who would be called Immanuel, "God is with us" will be born.
Now with that in mind - let's look forward confidently that God's Word is true and His faithfulness is everlasting - and look at this other prophecy given to Paul by God.
"For the Lord, Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
We don't need glasses to see clearly what's coming up ahead, our vision is still 20/20 because we see it through the eyes of faith. This prophecy is talking about the rapture of the Church. We know one day very soon Jesus is coming to take all those who believe in Him to heaven, to save us from what's coming up ahead in this dark world, the 7- year tribulation!
So look up! Be ready!
Believe in those prophecies, they are written! They are in the Bible for one reason - so you can believe - so you can see today that they were all fulfilled - they were ALL true!
If you're not saved, please believe Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and resurrected to give you eternal life.
He's coming for us!
It could be today, it could be tomorrow! This could be your last call.
Believe in God's prophecies!
Come to Jesus!
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
