Let’s let others know what is about to happen!!

Have you ever heard the saying “You can be so heavenly minded that you’re of no earthly good!” Well, the same is true in reverse “You can be so earthly minded that you’re of no heavenly good!” Things in prophecy have picked up quicker in the last 12 months! We’ve read that the Jews want to build their 3rd temple, with that in mind there have to be priests to do the daily sacrifices in the temple during the great tribulation period. Let me go into a little background on this in Daniel chapter 9. It might be a little hard to follow considering my time. Daniel spoke about a seventy week period in verse 24; “Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.

Daniel is writing about the Jewish people and the city of Jerusalem.

Seventy weeks don’t mean weeks of 7 days, it’s speaking of seventy sevens, a total of 490 years. In those 490 years, Israel had violated exactly seventy sabbatic years; so they would go into captivity for 70 years. Let me break it down; 1 week equals 7 years, 70 weeks equals 490 years, 70 weeks are divided into 3 time periods; 7 weeks, 62 weeks, and 1 week. Got it? Just follow me. These seventy sevens are broken up to fit into the Times of the Gentiles and run with them, the age of the Church. The seventy sevens for Israel and the Times of the Gentiles will both come to an end at the same time, at the second coming of Jesus Christ. The Seventy Weeks concern your people, meaning the people of Daniel, the Jews; which is Israel. 69 of these weeks have already passed and 1 week is yet to be fulfilled. Verses 25-27 speak of what will take place during this time. Here we go!

The commandment to rebuild the city of Jerusalem was issued in the month Nisan 445 B.C. That is the date that began the 70 Weeks of Daniel 9. The first seven weeks of 49 years bring us to 397 B.C. and to Malachi and the end of the Old Testament. The 400 years from Malachi to the New Testament were known as the silent years where God didn’t speak through a prophet. These were troublesome times, as witnessed by both Nehemiah and Malachi. 62 weeks, or 434 years, bring us to the Messiah, to Jesus. From the first of the month Nisan to the tenth of Nisan (April 6) A.D. 32, are 173,880 days. Dividing them according to the Jewish year of 360 days, you get 483 years (69 sevens). The command went forth to restore and build Jerusalem on March 14, 445 B.C., and the 69 weeks (or 483 years) were fulfilled on the 6th of April 32 A.D. That means exactly 173,880 days or seven times 69 prophetic years of 360 days, from the command to rebuild the city of Jerusalem, to the very day when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey as the Messiah on Palm Sunday. Between the 69th and 70th Week 2 major events are to take place;

1) Messiah will be cut off. This was the crucifixion of Christ, the mystery and truth of the gospel.

2) Destruction of Jerusalem. History records that this took place in 70 A.D. when Titus lead Rome into Jerusalem and burned down the city and the temple!

The time gap between the 69th and 70th weeks is the age of grace with the 2,000 years of the church, the body of Christ, which was a mystery that God had hidden in Old Testament times and didn’t reveal until the time of Christ and the apostles / Ephesians 3:1-12; 1 Peter 1:10-12.

And according to Romans chapters 9-11, Israel has been partially blinded and temporarily set aside.

The prince in verse 26 is the little horn of Daniel 7; he’s the beast of Revelation 13, the Antichrist. After the church is removed from the earth at the Rapture, the Antichrist will make a covenant with Israel and others for 7 years. Israel will accept him as her Messiah, but in the midst of the week, in the middle of the 7 years, he will break his covenant by placing an image in the temple / Revelation 13. This is the abomination of desolation.

Prophetically, we are living in the age of grace, and the 70th Week of Daniel, the Great Tribulation as the Lord called it, is yet to take place. We believe Jesus could come at any moment and then 7 years of hell will be unleashed on this earth!

As Daniel writes, the Antichrist will stop the daily sacrifices in the middle of the 7 years! That means there will be priests doing animal sacrifices in that third temple!! Check out this article! Every moment is bringing us closer and closer to that incredible event known as the Rapture of the church! Exciting but troublesome times, things are getting ready to blow!! Let’s let others know what is about to happen!!
