Jesus said, "Take heed that no one deceives you". Pay close attention and be on guard! Discern and test everything against the truth of God's Word. Deception is out and about, roaming every corner of this earth, waiting to find someone to devour! Watch out and keep looking up!
In Matthew 24 when Jesus is speaking to his disciples about the signs of the end times, the first thing He warns against is deception. False preachers and prophets are intensifying and perfecting the level of deception in this very last hour!
We are at the end, the enemy knows his time is short! If we were watching a movie, this would be the point where we could see Satan's minions suddenly proliferating at an alarming rate, appearing everywhere and using everyone to try to make Christians stumble and fall. They twist the Scriptures and come up with very convincing theories, using sophisticated techniques that can even deceive the most grounded Christian.
In this day and age, it is more important than ever to thoroughly test the spirit of everything we read, watch, or listen to. We possess the power to discern and overcome false teachings because "The One Who lives in us is stronger than the one who is in the world." -
The Holy Spirit!"It is the teaching of the false-christ. You have heard that this teaching is coming. It is already here in the world. My children, you are a part of God’s family. You have stood against these false preachers and had power over them.
You had power over them because the One Who lives in you is stronger than the one who is in the world."
(1 John 4:3-4)
Also, pay close attention to "human traditions", regardless of how old they are or their nature. These traditions only pass the test if they are grounded in the word of God and point us to Jesus. Humans are fallible, and therefore, human traditions are fallible as well.
Remember the Pharisees and the instances when Jesus rebuked them for their own traditions, "teaching as doctrines the commandments of men" - they tragically missed their Messiah!
"Then the scribes and Pharisees who were from Jerusalem came to Jesus, saying, “Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.”He answered and said to them,
“Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?" Matt 15:1-3
TEST EVERYTHING AGAINST THE WORD OF GOD AND DILIGENTLY SEEK THE TRUTH. BE LIKE THE BAREANS!
"They received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so."
JESUS IS COMING FOR HIS CHURCH, IT'S TIME TO GET SAVED!!!
Believe Jesus is the Son of God, who died on the cross for our sins, He was buried and resurrected during the third day, according to the Scriptures, so we can have eternal life with Him.
The moment you believe in Him and that He died for your sins - you're saved, justified, sealed until the day of redemption, and rapture ready!
The Holy Spirit will come to live inside of you - He will help you, guide you, change you, and be with you FOREVER!
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16
