It Is The Glory Of God To Conceal a Matter, But The Glory of Kings is to Search Out a Matter.

Will we know when the rapture is about to happen?

Noah knew that the flood was coming, Lot knew destruction was coming, Elijah knew, and even the people who didn't like him knew.

Will we know?

We should pray for revelation! This is what Jesus told the Jews and some Gentiles before He died:

"But nobody knows when that day or hour will come, not the heavenly angels and not the Son. Only the Father knows." Matt 24:36

Some people apply this verse to the previous verse: "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will certainly not pass away", meaning: only God knows when the end will be.

And some others seem to believe that even today, Jesus doesn't know the day and the hour when He is coming to rapture His Church.

Pray and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into this revelation and understanding! Now, this is what Jesus is telling the church (The "dead" Church) after His triumph over the dead, in the book of Revelation:

"Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you." Revelation 3:3

He is clearly stating that IF you watch, you WILL know! We, the faithful church, will know! Today Jesus is in His resurrected form, fully in His divine nature, seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven. Being One with the Father and the Holy Spirit, He is omniscient. He unquestionably knows the appointed time of the rapture.

Jesus in Matthew is in His human nature with limitations — He is the Lamb. Jesus in Revelation is "The Alpha and the Omega, The Beginning and the End, "The One who lives, was dead, and is alive for eternity, holding the Keys of Hades and Death" — He is the Lion of Judah!! He knows what is going to happen — He shares all these details with us in the book of Revelation. He knows how the tribulation will unfold, step by step. He knows precisely what will happen at the beginning, in the middle, and how it will end with His return — He knows the appointed time of the rapture!!

Let's see what God did in other instances, let's take the examples in the Bible:

Noah knew, and he entered the ark 7 days prior to the flood (Gen 7:4).

Lot knew just 1 day before when the angels came to rescue him from Sodom,(Genesis 19).

When God raptured Elijah, he knew; the prophets who didn't like him knew — and even Elisha was asking to receive his mantle. THEY ALL KNEW! It doesn't specify exactly when they knew, but it could have been just a day or a few days prior, (2 Kings 2). Are we going to know? I can't be dogmatic about it, but based on what God has done in the past, I would say, YES!

How long in advance? Based on what He has done in the past, it has ranged from 1 to 7 days! I don't know specifics! I don't know anything!

But I do believe that we need to pray about it, seek God, and ask for revelation. If He is going to give us the heads up, He will do it in unique and personal ways. You might recognize it in the small things He speaks to you—totally different from how He speaks to me. OR it could be that He will tell us all the same way! We don't know, and since we don't know, we need to: WATCH, SEEK THE LORD, PRAY, AND ASK FOR REVELATION!!

The rapture of the Church is one of the greatest mysteries of the Bible.

It's designed by God so we can cling to Him, seek Him, search the Word of God, and get strong in our faith while trying to discover it! SEARCH IT!

This is the high-watch season!! You could be the one to whom God will reveal it. Don't leave it to teachers, watchers, or high-profile pastors. IT COULD BE YOU- WHY NOT???!!

"It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter." Prov 25:2
