HOW DO WE KNOW CHRISTIANITY IS THE RIGHT WAY TO HEAVEN?
THE HOLY SPIRIT
Romans 8:16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
JESUS SAID in John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
John 15:26. “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.
THE BIBLE MAKES IT CLEAR HE IS GIVEN TO LEAD US AND TEACH US ALL THINGS John 14:26
John 16:8, Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit: “When [the Spirit] comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment”
9“of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
10 “of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;
11 “of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.
SIN:
Ephesians 4:30 SAYS WE GRIEVE THE HOLY SPIRIT.
IT MEANS WE BRING HIM PAIN.
HOW DO WE KNOW CHRISTIANITY IS THE RIGHT WAY TO HEAVEN?
Yes, Jesus is the only way to heaven.
Such an exclusive statement may confuse, surprise, or even offend people.
It rubs a lot of people the wrong way.
Many people treat religious claims like preference claims. In the same way, some people prefer chocolate ice cream to vanilla ice cream.
I BELIEVE THIS SO THEY CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT AND THINK THEY WILL GET AWAY WITH IT, SO THEY CREATE THEIR OWN GOD, THEY ADD AND SUBTRACT FROM THE WORD. TO PLEASE THEIR FLESHLY DESIERS.
CHRISTIANITY IS NOT ABOUT RELIGION.
RELIGION IS LIKE INSULIN FOR A DIABETIC.
CHRISTIANITY IS ABOUT A RELATIONSHIP WITH A LIVING PERSON.
NO RELIGION OFFERS THAT.
AND ALL FOUNDERS / CREATORS ARE STILL IN THE GRAVE.
JESUS ROSE FROM THE DEAD TO MAKE INTERCESSION FOR YOU AND ME.
THE BIBLE SAYS JESUS HAS SUFFERED IN ALL LIKE PASSIONS THAT WE HAVE SUFFERED.
The Bible teaches that there is no other way to salvation than through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Himself says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
I am the Bread of Life (John 6:35)
I am the Light of the World (John 8:12)
I am the Door (John 10:9)
I am the Good Shepherd (John 10:11,14)
I am the Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25)
I am the Vine (John 15:1,5)
No one else can rightly claim those titles.
He is not a way, as in one of many; He is the way,
as in the one and only.
No one can come to God the Father except through Jesus.
Jesus is the only way to heaven for several reasons.
Jesus was “chosen by God” to be the Savior (1 Peter 2:4).
Jesus is the only One to have come down from heaven and returned there (John 3:13).
He is the only person to have lived a perfect human life (Hebrews 4:15).
He is the only sacrifice for sin (1 John 2:2; Hebrews 10:26).
He alone fulfilled the Law and the Prophets (Matthew 5:17).
He is the only man to have conquered death forever (Hebrews 2:14–15).
He is the only Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5).
He is the only man whom God has “exalted . . . to the highest place” (Philippians 2:9).
He presented Himself as the object of faith in
Matthew 7:21–27.
He said His words are life (John 6:63).
He promised that those who believe in Him will have eternal life (John 3:14–16).
The apostles’ preaching focused on the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus.
Peter, speaking to the Sanhedrin, clearly proclaimed Jesus as the only way to heaven:
(Acts 4:12)
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved”.
Paul, speaking to the synagogue in Antioch, singled out Jesus as the Savior:
(Acts 13:38–39)
“I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. Through Him everyone who believes is set free from every sin”.
John, writing to the church at large, specifies the name of Christ as the basis of our forgiveness:
(1 John 2:12)
“I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name”.
Eternal life in heaven is made possible only through Christ.
(John 17:3)
Jesus prayed, “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent”.
To receive God’s free gift of salvation, we must look to Jesus and Jesus alone. We must trust in Jesus’ death on the cross as our payment for sin and in His resurrection.
(Romans 3:22)
“This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe”.
At one point in Jesus’ ministry, many of the crowd were turning their backs on Him and leaving in hopes of finding another savior.
(John 6:67, ESV)
Jesus asked the Twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?”.
(John 6:68–69, ESV)
Peter’s reply is exactly right: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God”.
When facing the same ruling body that crucified Christ, Peter’s own confession is equally exclusive. He says,
“And there is salvation in no one else. For there is no other name under heaven, that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12).
In Buddhism, Buddhism itself started sometime in the fifth century BCE. They think that the Buddha, who founded the religion, died sometime in the year 400 BC. During the 400 years of silence between Malachi and Matthew. For Buddhists, salvation is gained through the understanding of the ways things really are according to the Buddha's Dharma. Once an individual has become enlightened, they can then reach a state of nirvana.
Mormons (LDS)1820s by Joseph Smith, believed that salvation must be partly earned by the things that a person does
Jehovah's Witnesses 1870 Charles Taze Russell. Salvation is described as a free gift from God but is said to be unattainable without good works that are prompted by faith.
