Do Not Grow Weary

By Raul Rise

FRIDAY April 9, 2021

nd let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10

This Scripture is an incredible promise for us! Christians can sometimes be impatient. They work hard sowing good seed, and ask the Lord, “When am I going to reap?” What is the problem? While doing good they have lost heart. If you are doing what is right, do not lose heart! In God’s perfect time, you will reap the spiritual fruit sown bountifully!

Notice this. Let this be a principle rule in your life. Do not forget to do good to those in the faith. If you see someone in need in the body of Christ, help them, take the opportunity to do good, and do not ignore them. Especially those who are believers, God will bless you for helping them.

In Titus 3:14, is yet another exhortation to believers to help meet the needs of others: And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful. Those who are blessed with wealth and enjoy God’s blessings should trust Him, not their wealth, and be willing to share:

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they are rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share. 1 Timothy 6:17-18

What else can we learn from Scripture? Hebrews 13:16 tells us: But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. Can you think of a good deed or action you can do to help another person? Can you share from your abundance to help someone else’s lack? Again, be encouraged: ...as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good (2 Thessalonians 3:13).

We can be tired, weary, and emotionally distraught, but after spending time alone with God, we find that He injects into our bodies energy, power, and strength. ~Charles Stanley~
