Corrie ten Boom

Corrie ten Boom was a Dutch watchmaker whose family helped many Jews escape the Nazi Holocaust during World War II.

The Ten Boom family lived in the Beje house in Haarlem above her father’s watch shop. Their Christian faith inspired them to serve society, offering shelter, food, and money to those in need.

The family held a deep respect for the Jewish community in Amsterdam, considering them “God’s ancient people.” As a result, they saved approximately 800 lives by hiding them in a secret place in their home. Betrayed to the Nazis by a fellow Dutch citizen, the entire family was eventually imprisoned in concentration camps. Corrie survived and later started a worldwide ministry.

Corrie once said, “If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. If you look at God, you’ll be at rest.”

Isaiah chapter 35 describes a time when everything on Earth will celebrate the glory of God. This chapter is a beautiful picture of the final kingdom in which the Lord establishes His justice and destroys all evil. There will be no disease, pain, or sorrow and total healing will come to humanity.

Yahweh is preparing a way for His people to live with Him in Heaven forever. But you don’t have to wait until that day to experience the supernatural peace and joy that comes with a relationship with Christ.

So as you pray and read His Word, rest in the truth that He will provide all you need today and for eternity.
