In your presence, there is fullness of joy.

Psalm 16:11
What joys in life bring a smile to your face? Perhaps a walk on the beach, a delicious meal, or a beautiful painting. Grandchildren surely produce smiles. Today’s verse says that in God’s presence there is fullness of joy.
When people think of God they might think about their behavior and thought in life and be concerned about what God thinks of them. Many may view God as distant or angry. But as you press into Him, through Christ, you come to Him clean and forgiven. As you come before Him, remind yourself that He loves you so much that He sent His Son to die for You. The great, mighty, and awesome God loves you. As you draw near to Him, thank Him for His presence. Thank Him for the right standing you have in Christ. Imagine Him smiling on you, and you will find yourself smiling, too.
Today, as you come to your Heavenly Father in prayer, ask Him to open your spiritual eyes and ears to His great love and acceptance of you. Ask Him to replace any uneasiness or anxiety with confidence and joy. Pray that you will be filled with His Spirit and that you will walk out His love, acceptance, and forgiveness to those He puts in your life. Pray for the Church in the United States to be an extension of His love for the loss of this country. Intercede for the people of this country as a whole to turn to God, repent of their sin, and receive the great joy of Jesus.
