BE STILL AND KNOW

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear!

Allow Jesus to carry you today — Your disappointments, your sadness, your broken dreams!

He wants it all!

Our victory is found ONLY IN HIM! Be still and know that He is God!

We don't know what David was facing in Psalm 46 but God specifically said to him:

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!" Psalms 46:10

"BE STILL": David was probably in the midst of a tough war, dealing with intense emotions and using up all his resources for the fight. In this moment, God tells him to put down his weapons and rely on Him for help.

This is a call for those who are in conflict to stop fighting!

The word "still" comes from the Hebrew word "rapa," meaning "to cease or drop." It suggests warriors dropping their weapons and stopping the fight, acknowledging their trust in God. It's not being quiet before God's presence, it means surrender before God and looking to Him for help.

"KNOW THAT I AM GOD." In this context, "know" means to truly understand by observing, acknowledging, and being aware.

Recognizing that God is omniscient (all-knowing), omnipresent (present everywhere), omnipotent (all-powerful), holy, sovereign, faithful, infinite, and good. Elevating God to His position, surrendering and lowering ourselves, placing our trust in Him, and yielding to His plan because we have a clear understanding of who He is.

"I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

The nation of Israel faced the temptation to align with foreign powers, but God reminded them that He was ultimately exalted. God emerges victorious, ensuring peace.

During Isaiah's time, Judah turned to Egypt for help, disregarding God's warnings. Instead of relying on Egyptian might, what Judah truly needed was dependence on the Lord."

In repentance and rest lies your salvation, and in quietness and trust is your strength.

"God is urging us to surrender whatever battle we are facing to Him, acknowledging that He is the source of our strength, and trusting that in the end, He will emerge victorious!

Our ultimate victory is found not in seeking worldly powers, as Judah did, but in wholeheartedly surrendering to Him!!

Come to Him and surrender all your emotions, fears, sadness, broken dreams, and disappointments! He wants to give you rest, but more than that, He wants to give you victory!

IF YOU ARE NOT IN CHRIST! IT'S TIME TO SURRENDER EVERYTHING TO HIM AND GET SAVED!

Believe Jesus is the Son of God, who shed His blood for you, died on the cross for our sins, He was buried and resurrected during the third day, according to the Scriptures, so we can have eternal life with Him.

The moment you believe in Him and that He died for your sins - you're saved, justified, sealed until the day of redemption, and rapture ready!

The Holy Spirit will come to live inside of you - He will help you, guide you, change you, and be with you FOREVER!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16-18)
