Church! Be ready!
We're not fighting against flesh and blood. Our battle is against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms!
Don't let the enemy discourage you, or get you to give up! Don't listen to the world and what they are saying!
Deception, blasphemy, and scoffers, are at their peak!
Let's be patient with God as He is patient with us. Let's keep waiting on Him to take us out of this world! Let's wear the armor of God and "be ready" to stand our ground until He comes for us!! 1. Belt of Truth: Our truth is Jesus, and who HE is! If we are not in Jesus, anything else we put on will be useless.
2. The breastplate of righteousness: This is what Jesus did for us on the cross. You can't be righteous on your own works, don't fight the battle using your works, you will lose it! Put on His righteousness, His work - that will be enough to defeat Satan's attacks.
3. Preparation of the feet: We must be prepared with the gospel. Satan has many obstacles placed in the path to stop the propagation of the gospel. Be ready to preach it and stand for it!
4. The shield of faith: Put 100% of your trust in Jesus and be grounded in the truth - the lies of the enemy lose their power and we will become overcomers.
5. The helmet of salvation: Let's guard our minds against the worldly influence and instead think about things that honor Christ.
6. The sword of the Spirit: Stay in the Word of God. The more we know and understand the more we understand it, the more useful we will be in doing the will of God and more effective to destroy the enemy's lies.
Ephesians 6:10-18 "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
Let's be ready to fight the fight – and keep looking up! He's coming for us!!
