ASK- SEEK- KNOCK

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you. – Matthew 7:7

Humans live on a linear timeline. Irrespective of how many time-traveling books you have read, you still live one day, and one moment, at a time. Because time only marches forward, you experience a phenomenon called “waiting.” Waiting is defined by Webster as, “being in a state of readiness and expectation.”

Your spiritual life runs on a similar principle. You may look to God, approaching Him in prayer and presenting Him with needs, yet find yourself without clear answers. You are waiting. Jesus addressed that very situation, assuring you that those looking for God WILL find Him: “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7). The two events of seeking and finding are certain because God fulfills His promises. However, there is often a span of time between those two certainties.

Waiting on God may be uncomfortable but, if you have asked Him for good things in your life and for the nation, you have a reason to be encouraged! “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him” (Lamentations 3:25). Until you see answers to your prayers, you get to choose how you will wait. Though fear beckons, choose faith! Continue to pray many will turn their hearts to Him and go forward believing all who ask will see His wonderful provision.
