Church! That void and desperate longing we're feeling today will soon be filled! This is as bad as it gets for the US! Our place at the table has been reserved, the chair has been pulled out! Soon we'll enjoy the most glorious celebration at the Wedding Feast of the Lamb!
Don't look around! Look up!!
Forget about this world, we do NOT belong here, so our worries shouldn't concern this world. The Lord is preparing a table for all of us who are forgiven!
This wedding has 3 steps:
1. First Step: Like any wedding custom back in the time of Christ, a contract needed to be signed by the parents of the bride and the bridegroom. Also, the parents of the bridegroom or the bridegroom himself would pay a dowry to the bride or her parents. This began what was called the betrothal period - what we would today call the engagement. The contract has been signed by God (our Father) and the dowry has been paid by Jesus (our Groom) going to the cross and shedding His blood for us. Our promise has also been sealed by the Holy Spirit. He is our promise of salvation. The moment we believe we are betrothed to Jesus!
2. Second Step: The bridegroom goes to prepare a place for His bride at His parent's house - then He comes back accompanied by his male friends, and goes to the house of the bride, creating a torchlight parade through the streets. The bride would be ready with her maidens, and they would all join the parade which will end up at the bridegroom’s home - as they are both lifted up in chairs. That's our Rapture! Jesus will come for us, and just like in the wedding customs - His Church (the bride) will be lifted up to be taken by Jesus (the groom) to His Father's place, to a place He prepared for us.
3. Third Step: The marriage supper will take place, which might go on for days, as illustrated by the wedding at Cana. The marriage supper is our final step. It will take place in heaven between the rapture and the second coming - it will take place during the tribulation. Like I said! This is as bad as it gets for us, our best days are ahead!! Sadly for the world, these are their best days!! So Church don't look around, look up!!! Our Jesus is coming to take us to our Father to celebrate The marriage supper of the Lamb!! If you're not saved yet, please put your trust in Jesus!
Believe He is the Son of God, He came to die for your sins, was buried and resurrected -- ALL this to give you eternal life, so you could join Him in The marriage supper of the Lamb! Time is running short!! Come to Jesus!
